    3rd straight game on the road, this time against Portland who is in rebuilding process...

    See if we can repeat the showdown in Maryland or we play one of those games in which you close the Solevision
    Miami Sharks (BLB)
    * BLB Champions --> 2017, 2020.

    Ohio River Sharks (OSFL)
    * OSFL Bowl CHAMPION > 2036, 2047.

    0-2 start, 0-1 in division. Yikes. Margin for error is evaporating.

      Ugh. I'm going to play Motor City (at home) this week. I expect a loss...but a win would be good too

      My defense has produced turnovers at key times but just doesn't have the depth to beat a good offense. My Offense shows flashes of brilliance but needs work.

        I thought we were in a better state this year than last but currently sit at 0-2. Need to improve offensively against a strong Ohio side this week.

            It ain't the Bees of yore but Aston is always tough. I've probably won about 20% of my games against him if I'm lucky.

            If I win this one I'll be able to forget about my week 1 heartbreaker.

                Good luck, Foos! Surely we can't go 0-3 here. I mean, Vegas likes our odds of doing so, but that would make a horrendous start.

                It's neat to see just how good Douglas has turned out to be. Him and Syron, picked within a couple spots of each other in the 3rd round of the same draft. QBs aren't easy to find but we managed to get some good ones that year.

                  Yes, that was some 3rd round for QBs, netting two good ones! You made it an easy decision on me at 3.13 taking Syron at 3.7. I found him interesting too. I had interviewed Douglas and not Syron and planned on taking Douglas but I had to sweat it out until my pick since I no longer had a fallback.

                  It took me five years to find the real successor to Roy Parrish and Douglas still sat for a couple years first! Better late than never, though!

                  I haven't drafted too many QBs in this league but I was happy with my hit on Douglas in the 3rd round and Walt Johnson and Nicky Stevens in the 7th rounds in other drafts. If it wasn't for Douglas, Walt Johnson would have been our long term starter!

                  I've still only drafted one QB in the first round my entire time in FOF in all leagues and it was a stinker I reached for late in the 1st round.

                    Remembering good times duddes?? :)

                    In this new version is very hard to find good QBs out of the #1 pick :(

                      Not really. If you take a rookie QB and surround him with good receivers + Line then he'll flourish.

                        I seem to find my QB's in the late rounds in this league.. Or in my current case, off the island of misfit toys. I might actually end up keeping Buchanan a while if he keeps it up though. I like QB's who can run.

                          By the way, good to see my old buddy Camden Recker tearing it up so far in Gainesville. We just couldn't afford him unfortunately. Heard he really doubled down this off season with Jumbo Clements out in Sedona.

                              Well, we shipped Mayes off and Jennings became the starting RB. He showed his appreciation this week by running for 106 yards and a score. Keep it going Mr. Jennings. The defense kept good pressure on the QB. Despite a good portion of them being hurt.

                              So we end our opening three week home stand at 1-2. Not ideal. As soon as we can get healthy on defense, I'm hoping things turn around.
