Happy with my 1.11 CB and my 1.23 QB. Austin Lang isn't going to win any personality contests, but he has a good chance of being a good QB one day. No franchise type of guy, but a guy I have no choice but to develop.

        Draft

Interesting draft. Other than the obvious picks for offensive lines, people having to think outside the box for studs in other positions.

        Lovin it.

Picked up another LT in Brandon Brennan. He's the ideal height and weight for a move to RG, leaving Horn free to stay at the LT position. Clyde Hynes will make the move to RT. Hopefully this will shore up our O-Line for the foreseeable future.

We also Geoff Cielo, who is listed as a RDE. At 6'3" and 253 lbs. he might be destined for a move to an OLB in our newly installed 3-4 system.

We'll see how all of this pans out, as I'm not usually one to reposition guys. So far two of my three first rounders look like they will end up getting moved. Hopefully it works out.

You guys are killing me this draft. Not too much value of future impact players at the bottom of the 1st.

I took a 2nd round grade ILB as a position of need

Sorry for the hold up, at work for the next couple of hours. I've got two guys to choose from and the results from my interviews are on the computer at home.

That's a good thing isn't it, meaning that teams like Ohio, Waco, Camaden, Chicago, and a few others are going to hopefully have stiffer compation.

Had two centers at the top of my list.

Asher Poff has the best Agility drill score for a center since Bryce Stoker and his Broad Jump is better than any center I still have combines for. He should be a top flight pass blocker who never gets tired. Of course we run a run heavy offense designed to slow the game down and take as few snaps as possible, so none of that really matters.

What we need to look for is 40 time as it corresponds with run blocking and Myron O'Donnell, the center I didn't choose, has the best 40 time of any center to hit the OSFL since FoF7 was released (2033 season). He's got perfectly serviceable combines otherwise. Nothing great, but nothing so terrible it says "don't draft me". His only low score is Solecismic which as far as I know means jack all for linemen. Even if he doesn't come in with as high an overall rating as Poff, the bars he does have should fit our needs better.

Interviews on both were hard to read. Poff did come out slightly ahead in the draft analyzer, but it was pretty sure they were both comfortably "VG" and after the interviews the gap between them actually narrowed.

So why'd I go with Poff?

                  Affinity.

I'm convinced that a terrible SOL score really hampers otherwise good lineman. But small sample size, etc...

I agree that Poff and O'Donnell were the two next BPA. I would have rather had Poff but, O'Donnell actually has affinity with my team.

I was very close to drafting Poff. It was a tough call. Both he and the LB I went with had extremely, extremely high combine scores in areas I coveted. Ultimately, I went with the LB because I felt I had more numbers on the OL and this was a nice chance to turn an annual "OK, let's look at the FAs" dire weakness into a strength.

I want a LB who can cover manning the middle.

However, in terms of sheer BPA, I'd probably have gone with the center. Looks like a very special and high impact player.

Surprised Cooper Crawford lasted to 2.5. I was considering him at 1.16.. What do you guys think?

The Centers are great but I feel you can grab a starting C not using a 1st round pick in most drafts... For 1st rounder Center I would expect a stud which these guys are..
