    I can't get this to work... :(

I have downloaded the universal files and put them in the universe folder.

I went to the last thread: end of season!! and downloaded the file posted by Aaron and put it in the league folder.

Aaron has sent me the team pw for the extreme, and the league ID. He gave me some instructions but I still can't get it to work.

He is what happens: I load up the game I go and click on the "head icon" and all of the teams are there. I can select extreme, enter the league ID, but it asks what type of draft. I selected no draft and hit ok, then it says I have to send a file to the comish. Now if I go over to the load multilayer game, it has a game labeled extreme2007 or something, but when I try to load it it stops midway and says it can't find the saved game file and can't load.

No where do I see the option to enter the team PW or anything. What am I missing? Do I have to send that file to the comish?

    Hi Travis,

PM Hoosier or email him at Davidowens_1@msn.com . He seems to know how to help everyone get started.

Hoosier was great help but I also found a thread on FOFC that was a very detailed step-by-step instruction on how to set up batch files.

I'd send the link but I couldn't find it again this morning. The thread was from January 2004 and written by Dutch.

Well after just messing around with it for an hour last night, I got it to work. I am not really sure how so hopefully I don't have any problems going forward.

Do you have to download/upload on every sim? I don't want to make any staff changes, so do I still have to submit a file?

you don't have to upload unless you want to put in an offer. But any time you do want to upload, you have to have the latest sim file. You can never upload with an older league fle.

If your staff is in place there is no need to submit a file. Most times some teams (mine) don't submit on interims, or midweeks (the commish just imports files from teams making changes). These are done so that teams can address injuries and make free agent moves. Your game plans are saved on the first import and the midweeks or interims don't interfere with your files if you are not making any changes.
There are also times in free agency where your team might be set and you do not need to submit a file, just be careful not to miss important times like training camp/weight training and cut days or the AI will do a number on your team, possibly cutting players you have eyed up as key to your club.
