  • Learning FOF

I feel like Shark when he first joined the BLB, asking questions about OOTP. It has been a while since I last played FOF so was hoping to use this thread to ask some questions.

My only question at the moment:

Is there a way to assign a receiver to the slot?

You can change formation personnel manually for each formation. By default, "FL2" will be the 3rd WR in all 3WR sets.

Two minor questions 1. Under Roster Attitude Adversie Noteable there is a Blue M on a few players what does this mean and is it important?

      2. Roster Personality View ( Play to Win ) how important is it to have players with hign numbers there?

These are things I probley should of asked my first season or two not my fourth but I am slow learner and takes a while for me to get each concept down.

The M means they're mentors. I have no idea about the play to win rating; I thought it mostly affected where free agents go, but usually in a relatively minor way compared to the quality of the offers.

I concurr. I am pretty sure that Play To Win in personality view and Wants Winner on the player card are the same thing. Other than being a minor deciding factor in free agency, I don't think these ratings have any other effect in the game.

How accurate is the mock draft in the utility?

Not very! I think it's just a bit of fun but it's not very accurate and doesn't neccessarily mean that you should take the guy it suggests

Most guys are NOT drafted in the same round as projected in the mock draft. I usually ignore it.

So what's the best way for me to evaluate prospects?

The best advice I can give with the current setting is to look at high bars and then combines to evaluate prospects. I have done a couple of drafts with the setting at 39 and I have found this to be the best way, personally.

I agree with rush I have had a few major bust and some superstars 3rd and deeper in SP with setting at 39 about 70% of the guys I am drafting are rating out 50-65 love the 39 setting. even with the bust this seems more like the real NFL with gems being found in the mid rounds and late FA.

Is the free agency pool only accessible from that menu with the offseason schedule on the far right of the screen?

Just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

Recommend player from your roster screen will bring up free agents and then you can filter through position etc

With 50 I got studs into the 6th round playing SP. Why are you so excited to get studs into the 3rd round? You should be picking cherries from the AI no matter the setting.
