At least we won't be pulling a Brooklyn this year!

We said farewell to Bryant Emmons, who started at safety for us the past six seasons. He was our 1st of two first round picks in 2034, but was overshadowed by the later of those picks, CB Leslie Parker. Emmons was a solid thumper at safety but only average in coverage. With Jeremiah Schneider and an emerging Zack Jeffries at safety Emmons was expendable.
    What's pulling a Brooklyn? :)

I think he is referring to garion's 0-16 running joke.

It is too late to change it now, but did you mean to switch Tito Dilly to WR?

Yes I did switch him to WR a couple weeks ago. He was catching a lot of balls out of the backfield and not averaging a lot on the ground. But I don't think we're in the right scheme because he hasn't been getting the right amount of playing time.

yea just realized, throwing 23-25, the two incompletions being picks, the ball never touched the ground

                  Good game IrishGuy

Frustrating ending. We score what looks like was going to be the game winning TD with 32 seconds left only to watch you guys connect on two big passes and kick the FG as time expires to tie it up. Then both teams get cold feet down near the goal line and piss away a chance for a win in overtime.

We brought back former LT Bill Rodgers for this game in our ongoing quest to find a replacement for that guy who died in training camp. Sadly Rodgers couldn't bring any of those years of cohesion back with him. His going 0 of 7 on key run block opportunities means that our three combined replacement tackles are a combined 2 of 33 in KRB. But that's ok, because our other starting tackle has decided to balance things out by refusing to pass block.

But we can't complain too much. We're still 5-1-1 and hanging onto third place in the division of death.

What's so frustrating about the whole this is exactly what you said... the division of death. We are 2-3-1 now. We needed either a win to sorta get back into things, or a loss so we could finish trying to rebuild. Instead... we get a tie. I just want to bash my computer, LOL. Do you think Aston will allow us to forfeit the game to you? That's better than a tie.

I think all games should be played to the death... no ties!!

Haha! The pain, unlike in Wesley's quote, was already there.

I was trying to move some pieces, gain some picks, get younger, and still be competitive. Erm... MISTAKE!!

If it makes you feel any better, I think we were in a similar place last year, starting 2-4 and looking way up in the division at Brooklyn and Camden. Yuma started 1-5 -- and both of us ended up making the playoffs, if barely. I think Brooklyn was the team that slid out of the playoffs by a nose in the end, after a strong start. Lot of season left. The Irish are down a key lineman for the season, so we'll be tested!
