universe file that creates new generated player

Does anyone have this file and can pls it share with me... i think i deleted this file by mistake and can no longer create alternate player games in SP, now can i start a regular SP game and get past the draft as it wont generate new players for the draft

I think Aston had the right idea in the other thread. I'd uninstall and reinstall.

I can't give you any specific information as I have never gone in and deleted any of the game files other than ones for specific leagues.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled after following those directions... there has to be a file thats resonsible for the random player creation for the drafts etc... i just cant find any threads on it

Installing the MP file allowed me to start an SP game but when it came to the draft it just went right by it to next stage... the whole season played as normal I simmed through it.

I cant start a new SP game with alt players because its missing the file/s that create these alt generated players

even in the mp im 100% sure when it came time to draft i would not have any players to choose from

I have contacted them and it takes about 4 days to get any responce... its been almost 2 weeks now and only a few responses, im to the point where i know the exact problem but im still waiting on a reply

You start SP games either with either:

1) The default rosters
2) A randomized new roster -- there's no "file" for this, the game generates it
3) An alternate roster file that you specify manually.

No such file ships with the game, but some fans have created them (for example, historical rosters). You'll have to dig those up elsewhere or create your own. I don't really have any instructions on that.

The game will generate its own rookies for the draft every year. It's possible to specify or create a custom file of your own to import, but the game will do just fine without those. We only use game-generated draft classes here.

I don't see why you are not getting them with a clean uninstall/install, are you doing it cleanly or just deleting?

So then

I would be able to start an SP game with an alternate player file and it gives you that option, but when i click ok, it brings up file manager and its blank no options, once i exit this file manager screen... the game shuts down cant locate player data fils

when i start with the regular roster the games starts as normal.... but when i click the stage to "start the draft" it goes straight to the stage after ... doesnt even pause to act like the draft was even there, thus ... no player creation..

there has to be so set of files, that creates these generated players by the AI.

Select no for alternate player file if you don't have one at hand. Most of us do not.

Select yes for 'random new players' if you want the game to generate its own players and not use NFL rosters.

not one of these files has a single thing in them

i have downloaded an mp roster but the same problem persists with not being able to create the Ai created players

I don't know what else to add other than refer to the help file for how to start a new SP game.

Just start a game and click the two options I specified in my last post.

by clean install i'm deleting from steam and from my computer under file management... restarting and trying to install same problem... the files are not in the folders.

Try deleting the Solecismic Software folder as well. If the problem is persisting through reinstalls that means that the game isn't doing a full install. It's somehow recognizing that you had previously had this game on the computer and skipping steps. This is usually done so that you can keep your settings when reinstalling a program in order to allow you to pick up where you left off.

My guess is that the install is seeing something in the Solecismic Software folder and deciding that it doesn't have to mess with whatever file it is that was screwed up in the first place. Delete all traces of the game and reinstall and you should get a fresh version, as if you'd never played the game before.

Other than that, I'm out of ideas. Good luck in your struggles. Hopefully you can get back to playing, as your team has been performing admirably this year.
