  • Week 17 - Who's Playing Spoiler?

Hard to say what I would do here in my last game against Phoenix seeing that I have clinched my spot. Go for the Bye? Rest my starters and risk injuries and lose the bye anyway?

I should just be happy that this final game against Phoenix isnt for the playoffs period as I was beaten by him before. Lose to him again and risk losing 3 times to him including the playoffs should the WC go that way.

Hmmmmm the solutions are never easy and they never feel right no matter what option I end up taking. Lets go for the lesser of all the evils...crap...whatever that is!
    Utah Bees
    2038-2039 - 8-24

    Utah Golden Spikes
2040 - Year of the Salad - 11-5 (AC West Champs, AC Division Game)
    2041 - 3 - 13
    2042 - 9-7 - The Year of THE BOWL BOS 54 - DEN - 48 OT
2043 - 7-9 - Money City Maniacs - 2nd in AC West, Missed Playoffs. Syron 5000 yds. 7 Franchise Season records!
2044 - 13 - 3 -Trifecta of Recepta (3 WR with 900+ yds rec.) AC West Champs, Lost Bowl to Yuma 34-10)
    2045 - 10 - 6 - QB Carousel begins. 2nd in AC West, Lost Divisional

This is shaping up to be a high-stakes tilt between Brooklyn and Boston.

We have the better accents here. And if we win, we'll take 1st seed and Brooklyn will have to play wildcard.

That should be interesting Aston. Thats always been a pet peeve of mine in real sports when for example, you and Brooklyn should get the bye with your stellar conference records but dont because of the divisional playoff set up.

I remember in hockey a team won their division and made the playoffs and one of two other teams (with better records) didnt get in.

Can't wait to see the score tomorrow. Good Luck both of you.

This year the 9-7 Houston Texans went to the playoffs while the 10-6 NY Jets did not.

This is going to be an interesting sim. We have to win and have either Phoenix or Portland lose to get in. We've beaten both of those teams, and so we own the tie-breakers.

We host New Orleans, who on paper shouldn't give us much trouble, but they beat us pretty handily earlier in the year.

Phoenix and Portland both host 11-4 division rivals, who themselves are competing for a playoff bye. It seems like at least one of them should lose.

The most likely scenario is that we lose and are eliminated regardless of what happens in the other two games. That's the type of year we're having in Memphis.

Washington could certainly play spoiler to the Portland Phantoms hopes of a playoff berth. We have improved season on season so can't really complain but a wildcard spot would really cap this season off. I think we have half a chance with homefield advantage.

I'd rather us be 100% on the road than 70% at home. We've sat or reduced snaps for a couple guys in key areas in hopes to avoid injuries so there's a very good chance you get there.

Just don't hurt my guys and we're cool.

Tough game against Morgantown, winner takes the playoff. I feel we have too muchkey injuries to win, or compete in playoff

Arturo Bowler, our 7th round rookie, went 0-7 in his debut in relief of O'Neill. OUCH.

Our season started really badly, but given the fact that we were starting a lot of crappy young'uns the past 4 or so weeks it finished pretty strong. If we didn't get off to such a crappy start and have Jude Hutchins get hurt we could have fought for a playoff spot this year.

Despite all that, this is the second worst record I've ever posted with Dakota. IS HEAD COACH DANNY SALES SAFE? TUNE IN DURING THE OFFSEASON TO FIND OUT!

Amos Irwin notched one last sack and got some pressure on the QB in what was probably his last game with Dakota and perhaps in the league.

GG Ter13dan It has been a up and down season for all year. We finish our 4th year at 8-8. Now to see if we can improve next season. Not sure just how we are going to do it but we do hope to resign QB Mandel, as he showed major improvement this season, CB Poole & TE Rudy all 4 of these players will be in their 4th year.

We had a good run, finishing at 8-8. Didn't expect us to finish that way. I'm looking forward to putting my stamp on this team in the offseason.

Although the AC playoff bracket looks tough, I was relieved that you did not make it. You have a strong roster.
