That is best reason to like a guy that I have heard of.

After having experiences in other leagues competing with Aston (and the fact that BOS is the champ with a very young franchise QB), we felt it was absolutely necessary to have a stud franchise QB in order compete with BOS long term. This move is painful in the short term but stabilizes our franchise in the long term and provide a clear path forward for the next decade plus.
I heard the other day that FOF8 will significantly downgrade the importance of the QB after Peyton's Super Bowl performance/win. Defense will become more important due to the way formations and playcalling will be changed in the new game.

The days of winning because your QB is 80/80 are over. $40 mil/yr QBs will hurt their team more than help them.

That would be amazing. Different ways to build a team and win would be awesome. It's gotten a lot better since old versions. I did win a SB in FOOL with a 40 rated QB.

THanks for the good news Garion! Always there to ruin bomber's day!

Garion have you heard how much this new version will cost? Or since we already own this version is it a free upgrade. Just wondering as I live on disability.

I considered two other guys at 1.9 but decided to YOLO it and spend a first round draft pick on a QB for the second time ever (for me) in FOF and the first time ever in OSFL.

I never would have drafted this guy with the old scouting settings, I'd have judged his combines to be too low. However, since now I have no idea what's going on, I'm giving it a shot. My scout had him as VU (and his bars look VU), but my offensive coordinator sucks at scouting. Let me know if anyone else has scouting results on him. I think it will be interesting to see the various scouting results a position can get.

We'll see how the other two guys turn out that I considered. I suspect one will be totally awesome and the other pretty good.

Didn't interview him but wasn't a big fan myself. After bomber's QB, there wasn't anyone that I felt was top 15 material. I like the look of QB Howard more. I could be wrong as only going on my scouts bars. Still some excellent prospects on the board.

My scout had Reed as VU also. Also had an 89 Intelligence, which is bad for Avoid Interceptions.

At 1.10, we take the top guy on our list, CB Rinaldi. I need a top notch CB, and I hope he can be the guy. Not sure based on his lackluster Position Drill, but with the new 39 setting, I just looked at his bars and said to myself, "I hope this guy is close to what these bars show!"

Over the next 5-6 seasons, we'll start to learn how this 39 setting works. until then, it's going to be GUESS, GUESS, GUESS.

Rinaldi was my BPA I think you'll do very well with him. Got "underrated" for him. If it turns out he's just "overrated" instead he'll still be pretty good.

Rinaldi was the top CB on the board. Good pick

We went with Piccolo, we needed weapons on offense and since there are no more viable QB for us, up high in the draft, we needed to go with what we felt was the best WR in a not so stellar PAssing year.

I like Piccolo. Probably the best receiver on the board and is good value outside the top 10

My 3 considerations for my pick were Rinaldi, Piccolo and the QB that I took and probably should not have. :)

Quick note, I've switched off the clock for the night. When we start again in the morning it'll be at the 2-hour clock. We will (I hope) finish Round 1 tomorrow.
