I was really disappointed in both new starter Elias Kirchgessner's overall production and our inability to punch it in vs Boston in the Tobacco Bowl. Hopefully one of our 400 RBs that we are bringing into training camp will show us something.

I was actually fairly happy overall with our draft. Our team has had needs at RB and OL for a few seasons now and I think we addressed at least one of those for sure, maybe 2 depending on what goes on with Travis Klemm.

1.25 We took RB Ashton West, who comes to us with a 42/59 (45/57)(46/56) initial rating. It was between him and Paniagua, but the determining factor was West being a little better as a pass catcher. Paniagua is probably going to be about as good, but I thought Wests numbers were a bit safer too.

2.26 we were pretty happy to land FB Cody Henry (41/60) (46/60)(48/59) even if he doesn't hold up those numbers completely during preseason. We haven't had a good FB in a bit. Considered Kris Eden with the pick, but DE was not a need at all.

3.13 Julio Wells is a good zone CB and comes in at 28/45 (32/45) (33/43), which is about where I was expecting him to be. Hopefully his intriguing bars and believable combines pan out. We do need CB help pretty badly.

3.25 We took technical OL Andre Collier. At 6-1, 309 and 19/48 (18/48) (18/46) he is destined for a move inside, probably to C. He is not strong, but I have seen a lot of OL guys with good technique and not much strength to speak of have a lot of success.

4.25 We continued taking OL for most of the rest of the draft, and RT Travis Klemm is as strong as an ox. His bars indicate that his 41 reps on the bench is no fluke, and I feel pretty optimistic that he is quite a bit better than 17/25 (18/25) CUT. We'll see though, I have been wrong a lot.

5.25 Clifton Prasifka is 27/44 (30/42) (31/40) but at 62% developed that is a little alarming I feel like. If his bars are to be believed, he is a solid zone defender who will upgrade our secondary and potentially start until something better comes along.

6.25 we went back to OL with the MASSIVE 6'9" 331 pound Rufus Green. His combines weren't wowing, but his size and strength seem to indicate potential at the very least. he comes in 25/39 (27/39) (28/40) at 42% developed, so the hope is he can be a solid swing/backup for us. Really wanted R.J. McConnell here, but he got snatched two picks ahead of us.

7.13 was another OL prospect, Eduardo Howe. He is the least developed and lowest initial rated guy at 16/35 (18/33) CUT, but has an encouraging bar signature.. Probably nothing more than a warm body though. Likely to move inside to G.

Overall, very optimistic about this class. We've drafted pretty well the last couple seasons, but this one is a big one because we're trying to rebuild into the contender we once were. Hopefully with the new OL help and a RB with some skills, our offense can get a little more efficient and help the defense stay off the field a little more.

Our big hits came in the form of UDFA. We signed 4 or 5 guys who look to have long term futures here, several as starters.

LT Dwayne Everett (31/45) Will start at LT at least for this season.
C Terrance Roberts (26/48) Will likely start at C at least this season.
WLB Hayden Riley (31/55) Looks like a long term starter.
RCB Asher Laudenback (31/50) has a future but is an injury red shirt this season
SS Devante Myers (36/50) will be a heavy rotation depth guy in the secondary

I like our UDFA almost as much as I like the drafted guys. I feel like we improved the outlook of this team toward the future by quite a bit without spending a lot to do it.

I hope my CB Bronson in the first keeps his 41 /62 rating! Rest of my draft were rated in the 40's so.... I'm hoping for a EX week 2 boost.

Not sure how I feel due to the gap...

          But here you go

          CB Brooks 29/67
          DT Lyon 21/49
          LB Charles 20/47
          QB Wojdylo 7/40

Love the CB, he will start. The DT will be a rotation guy. LB Charles will probably start or be in the rotation and I am excited to see how I can develop Wojdylo.

            MONSTERS 2041 Class...

This was my first ever draft so massively under experienced. I found that the slow start gave me a good chance to have a good look at the class. I felt that we settled positional needs well until pick 6 which I missed and landed an unwanted QB, when I had my eye on OLB. I resolved this by snatching SILB Sam Bullock 17/40 early in the LFA who I am pleased with and may switch to MLB if he's bars settle well.

1.8 RB Bryan Reid 46/61 was considering Rinaldi here but needed big offensive improvements @Monsters, Pleased with Reid.

2.9 CB Logan Baysinger 30/64 was considering Carver and Barton, Glad we grabbed Logan, Looks fast and good at M2M, better all round CB to Carver. Carver's Int rating looks menacing, looks like a great addition to Charlotte's D.

            3.8 WR Mack Lamar 23/39
4.9 WR Luis Austin 18/40 I thought the WR in this class were poor otherwise would have picked earlier. Glad to get these two because they contrast eachothers strengths well. Austin to get downfield and Lamar to be the third down saviour,

5.8 DT Elias Wolfe 31/48 Interview a few DTs and wasn't impressed. Wolfe looks like he might have the bars I want for my DTs. Pleased.

6.9 QB Lamont Fox 10/39 Not much to say about my surprise QB. Hopefully we can find him something to do other than Waterboy. Jokes aside my 6th could've been worse. Wanted OLB here

7.8 FB Xavier Bruce 20/45 Just wanted someone to be better at helping Reid get the extra yardage than our current FB who struggles to open his lunch box. Task accomplished.

Very happy with the draft, Enjoyed the process, Can't wait to get started now.
Like I said I'm new to this so any feedback would be nice, goodluck everyone.

Baysinger is one of the steals of the draft, strapalongenon84. I'm pissed I didn't get my hands on him. I was trying to.

I think a number of people had eyes on Baysinger. I was also trying to get a top of the 2nd pick to grab him. Really considered him at 1.20 - if I had a better interview it would have been a no brainer.

How does an "inexperienced" drafter get a guy like that?

Hard to let go of scrutinizing that 33 position drill. Old habits. That was a great pick there -- I can't believe I didn't consider him seriously in Round 1.

I had my eyes on Bayslinger and wanted to pick him & Quarles there early 2nd. Sounds like for what ever reason Bayslinger slid some. I was also shocked Julio did not take CB Barton with either of his 2nd rd picks, considering he liked Bayslinger. Bayslinger will have some guys sick they passed him up and saying what if.

I was hoping he would have fallen to me at 2.13
Got the dud CB Hughes instead

Still not too bad. My OT, TE and WR will probably start. And 7th round OT went +28!

Some free fallers in the first 2 rounds...big time. Still think it takes time to really see though.

We have had an absolute shocker. Unhappy with 6 out of 7 picks. On a better note, QB Sawyer Rogers has benefited from having a full season under his belt and has shot up in ratings, a couple of young DE have shot up and a couple of oldies have held their ratings

Now that the sim is run I can safely say that for the most part my draft was a dumpster fire.

My 2nd round DE looks like a bust -- but the UDFA guy looks like a hit. What's this about the 3 years thing, though? I guess we don't really know. The UDFA RB also looks really solid -- and just in time, since the starter dropped 10 points!
