  • 2042 Week 1

We open the season relatively healthy in an AC Pacific NW battle in Portland.

We are a more talented team offensively than last year. I'm ready to see what we can do, especially since Granberry has FINALLY learned 5 wide.

This will be an interesting opener for Yuma. I didn't test our new game plan at all, but built it from scratch based on about 6 hours worth of analysis of down and distance and some other situational things, and I feel pretty optimistic about it. I don't love our QB situation, but most of the other things that have happened for this team in the last 2 off seasons have been overwhelmingly positive. This is the most talented team we've had in a decade.

Fingers crossed for a revival in the desert. Can't wait to get it started.

Just realized I lost my C for 7 weeks and my T for 2 weeks due to BS preseason injuries...again. Loving it!

Not listed on the depth chart but since we can't carry over a certain amount of players I can't put them inactive.

Big mid-week for us. We cut DE Wiggan which saved us a good deal of cap space, then picked up a team leader to replace him. The new leader gave us 4 big time affinities and is a lot cheaper.

Now with the cap room we just need a trade partner to dance with.

Week one we're home and face off against a div foe in Pearl Harbor. There is no doubt this is a big game to start season with. Yuma & San Fran also play against each other so we sure would hate to start the season with a loss and be either 3rd or 4th place after week 1. We are diffidently thinking we will be much stronger 2nd half of the season as our young guys gain experience. So winning game 1 could give this team a huge boost of confidence. Win or lose we feel this will be a low scoring game and tight score like 17-16.

it will surely be a good game
your team looks scary this season with all those fantastic moves in the offseason
we're coming off a 4-12 season and we're laying our cards on the table with QB Atkins one more time...this is his make it or break it year
Hoping the offence can get off to a good start
Best of luck on the game and the entire season!
                    Prediction: 20-17

GG, bomber. We had a nice run. But it's Wes Bunting's world now.

GG Aston.. I wouldn't count you guys out yet. Its only week 1 and you have such a deep deep team. Will be interesting as always. See you later this year.

Very pleased with the returns from the offense this week, felt like we moved the ball well and had some nice plays in there with a much better run game than last season. Would have liked to see our defense be a little stronger down the stretch, but the 7 sacks helped mitigate a lot of the yards we allowed. It'll be a little bit of a process getting this offense to come together and play consistently, but this was a good first step for sure.

GG Frozenflame. I think we put you in a big enough hole early enough that Sipos didn't get to do much.. But your pass game was pretty formidable in the comeback attempt.
