After getting beat last week the team comes back and makes a statement, even with our starting RB getting limited playing time (due to injury).
We get our starting TE and our stud LB back from injury. Looking good. Particularly happy about the LB because those hamstring injuries can often linger.
Wow, we were efficient this week. Not putting up a ton of yards, but definitely putting up a ton of points and that is what we were hoping to get out of a team that used to move the ball into the opposing half of the field and then stall frequently.
Ended up hanging 50 on a Dakota team that has done well against a brutal schedule so far, and that is something I don't think we were capable of for the last decade or so.
Floyd Mallory had himself one of those seasons where a guy just flies too close to the sun, put up 1000 yards in 7 games averaging over 14 yards a target and is out for the rest of the year now with a sprain. That's one of those "What might have been" injuries that really sucks to see happen.
Bruce Perkins has rebounded well from his 24 dropped passes last season.
24 dropped passes.. Dude got the yips bad when we let him walk, but he's showing some grit coming back from that and not just retiring.
Speaking of flying too close to the sun, Marcus Paniagua is killing it right now on the ground, over 7 a carry.. And he's not just doing that on 3rd downs, either. Will he stay healthy? Right now one of every 5 of his rushing attempts gains over 10 yards. That's Barry Bonds type stuff.
Someone else making things look a little too easy?
How about DE Reginald Brandon, with a pass rush percentage of 17.5%? 13.5 sacks in 7 games for a DE is.. decent, I'd venture to guess.
You know who else is making the most of their opportunities?
WLB Miles Strong of Chicago has 3 sacks. He has been on the field for a total of 7 pass plays. He
would rack up around 250 sacks in a season at that rate. Pretty effective.
Geoff Cielo leads the league in blocked passes. Cielo, lord of el cielo?
Got a little warmth in my heart seeing Dean Boshier's boy got a job as a punter. Legs like his father, but doesn't like contact as much.

Yep. It is also nice to have a #2 putting up similar stats. 5.48 YPC and also 1 of every 5 over 10 yards. If I play my cards right I could potentially have two RBs over 1,000 yard rushing on the season. Maybe one with 2,000 and the other 1,000.

Good game on both sides. Both Ds played well. A few big plays (the 99 yard KR TD, the 55 reception that led to a TD) by BOS otherwise we did a good job of containing BOS. Nice comeback led by #bORNrEADy to tie it at the end of 4Q. Happy to get 2-0 vs BOS this year. Hope we dont see you again.
