I'm personally not worried about having to pay guys extra, since I am not planning on renegotiating any of my players any more this offseason.. If my exports work with the previous patch, I don't see any reason to roll my files back personally.

For Skerik- please don't take this the wrong way, but why hadn't you already renegotiated Cothran?

I'm not opposed to a delay, but hoping I don't have to roll back, simply because I don't want to go through with the hassle. I will, however, if I HAVE to roll back.

Hey since 6.1 files can be run on 6.0e, those who have no problem with the cap as is, can't we just leave it. I'd rather do it that way because the draft is more important to me than FA, right now?

But it was done using the OLD VERSION ----- now you are really confusing me --- Also --- if you have to delete mine than no sense in Pming you as you really just need to DUMP everyone's file --- correct?

(just what you wanted when you took over as commish -- a revision change to complicate things ....)

Yea, I agree with Jzicc. If we uploaded with 6.0e and you sim with 6.0e it shouldn't matter. Plus, I did a hell of a lot of draft scouting in the last sim and although it would be nice to do it with the new combine interface, I don't have the time to do so now. I'd rather leave mine as is, if its all the same to you guys.

I exported my file last night using version 6.0e, and I have not yet upgraded to version 6.1, so I aint doing a damn thing until told otherwise.

I wont be rolling back... no offense to anyone especially from the new guy, but in the real nfl negotiations change daily, demands, conditions all change when you don't settle a deal when an offer is on the table.... in any change you will never get 100% of the league to be happy or agree, but in the real nfl teams must adapt.... just my .02

I'm sorry man. I'm tired as hell and I'm not making sense. Oh, if you submitted with the OLD version, you dont have to resubmit. I'm still on 6.0e so its fine.

If you submitted with the new one, you may have to but I would like to hear from some of the experienced FOFers before saying that you definently have to..

That's only if you waited until Week 6 to sign your star quarterback. Ask McNabb, you can't please Philly fans.

No. In fact, because of where in the season one league is, Jim has recommended to that league for the commish machine to stay on 6.0e, but all the league members to upgrade to 6.1. That pretty much verifies what I was thinking from my testing last night: exports are 100% compatible in both directions. If you're on 6.0e, the only reason the league members would need to be on 6.0e at this point is to see what our players are requesting in 6.0e to renegotiate when the sim is run on your 6.0e machine. Does that make sense?

(SIDE NOTE TO MAKE YOU FEEL EVEN BETTER ABOUT BEING ON DIFFERENT VERSIONS: A guy in IHOF mentioned overnight that he was on 6.0d up until a few days ago. He'd been exporting with it just fine for the entire 4+ months since IHOF upgraded to 6.0e. :D And it was also verified in IHOF that 6.0e exports worked just fine with the commish being on 6.0d (happened for a few days). Jim just doesn't change his export formats at all in patches.)

Same here, multiple leagues and big hassle. Plus SkyDogs comments below lead me to believe there is no reason to switch back.

You have an old shortcut on your desktop. Go Start -> File and then just find the run file for FOF, and drag it onto your desktop.

Ok, so everyone that is ok with the updated file and its effects is fine, the only people that need to roll back are those who want to make offers based on the old salary demands, which is completely understandable. Then, after the draft, before the draft, or on some set date, the commish and those who haven't yet upgraded to 6.1 will upgrade, and we'll keep rolling along, right?

Right. I dont plan to upgarde until either before or after TC. I'll consult with some of the FOF veterans on whether it matters if I do it before or after.
