Rex Playcalling Oddity FOF8

I watched my first "live" game in FOF8 and it looks like Rex was blitzing Darrelle Revis like 3-4x per drive. I was going to post the log but I guess that information wasn't saved.

Has anyone experienced something like this? IS THIS JUST THE WAY TODD BOWLES COACHES? :)

Should be a CB Blitz in your defensive playbook, just remove it, or go to gameplan and change who blitzes. It does say something related to player with the best pass rush skills blitzes.

I guess Revis has the elite blitzing skills of Ray Mickens, the SACKMASTER, and therefore they were rushing him constantly.

Bowles does like to send a corner on the blitz. But he never sends Revis.

Seems like a case of the game not really knowing that. It only sees ratings and decides Revis is the best option to send. Maybe something in the code needs to be updated so that the best cover stays back.

Then again, many can argue Revis isn't the best cover on the Jets anymore.

As a Jets fan, I can confirm that Revis is pretty trash this year. I've never seen someone's skills erode so quickly.

Given the cap money, I think the 3rd round compensatory pick was a good deal. I'd love to see compensatory picks in FOF.

Hey, he's been great until this year!

Ehh, he wasn't that good last year either, but it was explained away by an injury. I'm surprised he went to shit so fast because he's supposed to be such a technically sound cornerback. He's just been laughably bad sometimes this year and was getting intentionally targeted by the other teams.

Sometimes I feel that players don't play to their capability because of the team they are with. Jets, Browns two teams I would not want to play on. Hoping they get traded to a much better team.

One thing you can't do not is set who you want to blitz. You can call 1 blitz, 2 blitz, 3 blitz, and I thought I saw a (3-4) 4 blitz. The way the game distributes those blitzes is from Game Plan Details > Blitz Choice Based on Pass-Rush Ability.

While you're in the Defensive Gameplan screen, you can click a blitz play multiple times to change the apparent blitzer, but that's not exactly what that does, that shows who the possibilities are.

Moss with the Raiders is a good example, too. I heard so much about how hard Revis worked and how technically sound he was I have trouble imagining him being like Moss with the Raiders, but maybe that is the case with him now.
