I voted no but after reading Skydog's findings, I see no reason to slow things down if the preseason is not a good indicator future success. It seems that the actual game play experience is the only "real" driving force. No need for midweeks, mark one more for yes and one less for no!!

The total will still be the same since Sully wants to vote no after reading the thread.

LOL. Tonight is a midweek. Week 2 is Thursday. The poll was to eliminate all preaseaon midweeks after this week.

Cotton, you're overcomplicating this. ;)

All you need to do, if you're going to sign a FA, is keep 45 guys active, and fill up your depth chart. The new guy comes in as #46, and will play on special teams. If you make a trade, just tell the other owner whether to make him active or inactive before the trade. If you want to have 46 *other* guys active, have him make your new guy inactive. If you want your new guy to play, have him make your new guy active, and keep 45 others active.

If I wanted to be a dick, I'd vote yes and wait quietly for people who didn't to get nailed by it. The problem isn't so much the new guy coming in, but the guy you traded away or cut, but at least with a cut, you'll get a depth chart warning. Or you could be under a minimum position level, or some other issue that causes the CPU to redo your charts. But people still make mistakes with this. It happens all the time when you run the sims. Without the midweek, people will have to be more careful. No big deal, I guess.

You know as well as I do that out of 32 guys, mostly newer players, someone will because they make those mistakes even when there IS a mid-week. So, it's nice that you finally spoke up about it. *shurg*
