SIM COMPLETE- NEXT SIM THURSDAY- REGULAR SEASON WEEK 1

The midweek sim is complete and we have alot of news:

1) Please welcome the new owner of the Brooklyn Hitman, rollaway. He is a FOF vet and I'm sure he will do a great job as owner of the Hitman.

2) The following teams are over the roster limit and need to cut their rosters down to 53 before Thursday's sim:

Brooklyn (Your last export didnt use the right export file so your file wasnt imported)
Camden
Ohio Valley
S. Maryland
Port City
Waco
Memphis
Portland

3) We have a tentative owner for Morgantown. If I dont hear from him by tomorrow, I will appoint UNC_Pete from OS as the new owner. Either way, Morgantown should have an owner by Thursday's sim.

Week 1 is upon us and we have a couple of good games on tap:

Columbus (-10) at Morgantown: Two 2007 playoff teams face off in a week one matchup. New Columbus WR Leland Lilledahl returns to Morgantown to face his old team.

Yuma at Las Vegas (-7): Yuma has laost the last three times they have faced the Outlaws but both of last year's games were close affairs. Key Matchup: Skip Alig vs MLB Xavier Fields

very excited to start the season. We're a 4 point dog to San Fransisco on the road this week. I think if we can contain Whalen we'll have a shot. Either way, can't wait!

I think that the Chicago/N. Liberty game will be a good one. Whoever makes the fewest mistakes on offense, will likely win this because both defenses look mighty good on paper.

SUGGESTION: Now that we're on vbulletin, it would be a good idea to enable longer HTML posts (increase the character limit to 50,000 or so), keep the HTML updated, and copy and paste from it into the thread before the games each week, like this:

Xavier Fields? I didn't know Rufus Mobley had a different name. :)

Our defense will be key this week, if we can slow down and play solid D and force a few 3-and-outs or turnovers, I think we can outscore Vegas. Its going to be hard, but our secondary and pass rush will hopefully allow us to cause enough problems to give us our first win in almost 2 full seasons against the Outlaws.

The heat of the desert will be cold in comparison to the heat of the war on the field.

I'm ready for some football. The Mechanics going from Hecht to BJ Jizmejian should be night and day. I'm hoping having a legit arm under Center will reopen Kenneth Clements. After winning the league MVP in '06, I think everyone loaded up on us in '07 because they knew we were running. Finally adding a 2nd Dimension to our offense SHOULD make for a nice run.

I feel bad that you lost Slade in the preseason. In another league I lost my stud DT for the season. Hated that feeling.
