Well, we struggled early on offense, but the D came to play. Roset with 1.5 sacks, Schroeder with a pick, and we held Port City to about 150 yards in the shutout.

Every night but Friday you should expect that I will run the sim at 9 on the dot. Still if you are running a little late just pm me and I'll wait a little.

Wow!!! THere is something seriously wrong with this game, i see it across many leagues i am in. I absolutely deserved to lose this game, yet i only lose it by 5 points. In the 4th New Orleans could not complete a pass after having no problems completing anything. Then even though i had no right to be in this game, have the ball with less than 2 minutes left and i am left with a 4th and 3 with 1:13 remaining from my own 27 and we punt the ball instead of going for it on 4th down??? Something seriously wrong with this. Nice win New Orleans it should have been a blow out.

There are some things I absolutely hate about this game. The 2 minute logic is completely broken in this game. In the first half, my team has the ball with about 1 minute left, it's 4th down, and my team calls a timeout. Then, we punt. WTF? Then, on 1st and 10, Dakota kneels down. I cannot remember if either team called a timeout after the kneel down, but then on 2nd down and 12, they throw a pass. What? I just cringe every time a half is within 2 minutes.

Actually, here's the play by play.......

St. Paul: Pro formation, strength is right. The defense is in a 43 with dime personnel and 3-deep zone coverage, keying aggressively on the pass.
1-10-STP44 (2Q: 01:34) Arnold Sauls ran inside the right tackle for 5 yards. Tackled by CB Bart Rodgers, assisted by CB Kelly Nichols. Key block delivered by Roy Kramer.
St. Paul: Pro formation, strength is right. The defense is in a 43 with dime personnel and 3-deep zone coverage, keying aggressively on the pass.
2-5-STP49 (2Q: 01:12) Rob Cote ran around left end for -2 yards. Tackled by CB Bart Rodgers.
St. Paul: Single-Back formation with trips receivers, strength is left. The defense is in a 43 with dime personnel and 3-deep zone coverage, keying aggressively on the pass.
3-7-STP47 (2Q: 00:55) Dusty Galloway pass completed to WR Dana Glenn for 6 yards. Tackled by OLB Dave Devlin. The quarterback threw into double coverage.
St. Paul called a time out.
4-1-DAK47 (2Q: 00:48) Eugene Watson punted 42 yards. Bart Rodgers returned the kick 4 yards to the DAK09. Tackled by Arnold Sauls.
Dakota: Weak formation, strength is left. The defense is in a 43 with nickel personnel and 2-deep man-to-man coverage, expecting the pass. Cochrane is blitzing.
1-10-DAK09 (2Q: 00:39) Warren Poland dropped to one knee for -1 yards.
Dakota: Single-Back formation with two tight ends, strength is right. The defense is in a 43 and 2-deep man-to-man coverage, expecting the run.
2-11-DAK08 (2Q: 00:10) Warren Poland pass completed to WR Pat Garcia for 13 yards. Tackled by S Todd Garcia.
              Start of third quarter.

This stuff doesn't happen if real football.

I bitched about the late game AI a lot during the first season, and some of the second. I've just learned to accept it. We all have to deal with it, and it's only a game. It's not going to be perfect, but it sure as hell is frustrating when it factors into the outcome of a game.

I dont know many teams that would go for it on 4th down late in the 2nd quarter on their opponents 47. If you fail, Dakota has great field position w/ 3 timeouts and damn near in field goal position.

Regarding Dakota, many coaches would rather down it at the end of the 1st half than risk a turnover deep in their own territory. I actually saw an NFL team do that last weeken.

Now Welsh Wizard's issue was something that would never happen in real life but your issue seems pretty realistic.

I think he's bitching about calling the timeout, then punting, not attempting to go for it on 4th down.

You missed the point, bro. Why would a team call a time out, THEN punt? Why wouldn't my team let the clock run down, THEN just punt?

Why would a team kneel down on 1st down, then run a play on 2nd down?

Those are my arguments. But you are right, Sully. We all have to deal with it.

Big win for the Grizzlies to get our season off to a good start. Defense played well, especially forcing turnovers. We couldn't throw the ball on offense, but both Bryant and Mueller went for 100+ yards, so we didn't have to. Good games from Casey Vines and Donnell Burke as well.

Kalispel is quite estatic on week one's outcome. Both sides of the ball came to play. Dan Shaw could smell the competetion breathing down his neck.
