  • Week 11 Rando Rankings

    Week 11

    1. Memphis (9-1)

Score: 1.335 Last Week: 2 In Game: 6

The Admirals put a stop to Port City's five game win streak and in the process set themselves up as the #1 team in the Rando Rankings. And while Memphis will get a week to rest up and enjoy the view from the top, San Francisco, Utah and Yuma are all lined up and waiting to take their shot at the Admirals.

    2. Yuma (7-2)

Score: 1.282 Last Week: 4 In Game: 2

Another week, another win for the Aces. While a victory over the Bayhawks might not have been as impressive as Yuma's previous wins over North Liberty and St. Paul, they did beat San Francisco by 34 and knocked them right out of the Top 10. Up next for the Aces the parade of Top 10 teams continues with a trip to Los Vegas this week followed by a week 14 showdown in Memphis.

    3. North Liberty (7-2)

Score: 1.272 Last Week: 6 In Game: 7

North Liberty shut down Dusty Galloway and the vaunted St. Paul offense on their way to wholly convincing 24-3 victory at home over the Bandits. Now the Enforcers get to celebrate their victory, and their return to the top 5 with a trip to Chicago to take on the 2-7 Reapers.

    4. Utah (8-1)

Score: 1.259 Last Week: 3 In Game: 3

Utah rode a wave of Van Lochtefeld touchdowns to victory is a what turned out to be a very close game against Kalispel, yet even with their win the Bees still dropped one spot in the rankings. But don't worry Bees fans, Utah should be able to make up some lost ground by soundly beating the Los Alamos Monsters this week.

    5. Gainesville (7-2)

Score: 1.179 Last Week: 8 In Game: 15

They said they'd do it, and they did it. Beating the #1 team in the rankings was enough to push the Gaels into the top 5, and just barely ahead of Morgantown. They still trail the Maniacs by one game in their division and may have to win out the rest of the season to overtake Morgantown on account of the Maniacs' below mentioned remaining schedule. Fortunately for the Gael, their remaining opponents are a combined 22-41 right now, so that might just be possible.

    6. Morgantown (8-1)

Score: 1.174 Last Week: 1 In Game: 1

After standing atop the rankings for so long a single loss last week drops the Maniacs out of the top five, but don't expect Morgantown to stay down for too long, Their remaining schedule is soft soft soft (remaining OWP 0.317) with only Punxsutawney sporting a winning record. Although with Corey Lincoln back from an ankle injury, Columbus could still upset the Maniacs either this week or perhaps in week 17.

    7. Denver (6-3)

Score: 1.152 Last Week: 9 In Game: 4

A convincing, if expected win over Los Alamos moves the Grizzlies up 2 spots here. Denver looks to have a lock on one of the AC Wild Card spots as they only play one more team which currently has a winning record this season, when they host Utah in week 15, with their next most formidable opponent being 5-5 Boston.

    8. Las Vegas (6-3)

Score: 1.130 Last Week: 10 In Game: 10

The Outlaws have won their last 3 games in a row, but the only team with a winning record they have beaten this year are the currently reeling San Francisco Bayhawks. Las Vegas will, however, have a chance to test their mettle this week against the #2 ranked Yuma Aces.

    9. St. Paul (6-3)

Score: 1.121 Last Week: 5 In Game: 5

After losing a nail-biter in Yuma two weeks ago the Bandits were dumped by the North Liberty Enforcers 24-3. St. Paul's remaining schedule has a combined winning percentage of 0.400, which could have helped the Bandits hopes of catching back up with North Liberty in the NC North, if not for the fact that the Enforcers remaining schedule is only a combined 22-41, or 0.349.

    10. New Orleans (5-4)

Score: 1,047 Last Week: 13 In Game: 14

Two consecutive wins and the Stingrays climb back up into the Top 10 for the first time since week 6. To hold onto this spot, however, New Orleans is not only going to have to win this week in Waco, they're also going to have to hope that both San Francisco and Anchorage continue their in-division losing streaks.

    And the rest.

    11. San Francisco
    12. Anchorage
    13. Port City
    14. Kalispel
    15. Portland
    16. Boston
    17. Motor City
    18. Punxsutawney
    19. Los Alamos
    20. Washington
    21. Phoenix
    22. Lake County
    23. Camden
    24. Dakota
    25. Pearl Harbor
    26. Columbus
    27. Ohio Valley
    28. Chicago
    29. Waco
    30. S. Maryland
    31. Brooklyn
    32. Charlotte

Very well done, Rando. North Liberty has come a long way since their original owner, the "crazy, angry guy".

Get this guy a helmet, eh.

      Good stuff as always.

Request for the future (if possible) -- Movement for the teams from 11 to 32. Like (+4) or (-5) or something just to see movement from last week.

      Great stuff!

Rando I'm sure you posted this earlier... but how do you come up with point system for your ratings?

After reading that explanation, my head now hurts.

Thanks. I have a chance to have back-to-back rookie of the year candidates. Last year Conrad Bronson, this year Joel Wild, potential defensive ROY candidate. Things are looking good in Iowa.

You've clearly never been to Iowa.

Boston is creeping up the standings. I feel really good about our chances to make the playoffs for the first time. A game in front, plus the tiebreakers and play 4 of our last 6 at home. It definitely helps that it's a down year for the NC East, but we'll take what we can get.
