Got a star QB hanging around with the first pick... much like Parrish last year.

This draft is lousy. Then again, look at the real draft this year.

I'll get a quality guy at #7, but not much there. It seems like there are a good about of decent OT's out there w/out scouting much.

That was my first take as well. QB and OT.

I thought last year looked pretty weak also, but turned out OK.

When do players improve/decline? Seems like there was 1 sim last season where all my older players really dropped. Just can't remember what stage it was.

I know a ton of my guys took massive hits this past sim. And only three even went up in potential. Each only one point. I also picked up a new scout... so it could be him just evaluating the players... but I thought he did that last sim as well. So either a ton of my guys took hits, and none got better or this is how my new scout sees everybody.

I could be wrong, but I think that is a result of your new scout.

I think players take the rating hits AFTER free agency. I remember a bunch of old guys I signed last year took rating hits going into camp.

That is correct. I have the same scout as last year and none of my ratings dropped or rose.

So, uh.. if you don't want the pick.. :)

Here is JWolf's problem imo: The owner before him took Madison with the 5th pick in the 2008 draft so Madison is already making #1 pick money. Jay Nori looks great but he doesnt look like he's developed enough to play this year and even though their record doesnt show it, Madison is a good QB. What sucks is their isnt anyone in the draft worth a #1 pick in one of Charlotte's need positions.

I also think it has to do with players coming back from the off-season in not-as-good shape. I say that because I have players who have dropped in my scouts eyes. But they also did that last year, but they gained the points back after TC.

                        I agree.

Someone will need a QB and should offer multiple 1sts to move up for Nori if he scouts out well for them. If we've learned nothing else from our first few seasons, Top Rated Draft QB's are going to pan out in the end. If I'm sitting Top 2-8 or so and need a QB, I offer Charlotte my 1st, 2nd and next year's 1st to get up there.

Washington State has like 15 people declared for the draft. This definitely a fictional league.

I'm going to have to be creative to get myself in good cap shape, we've got no room to work as it stands.

Can I bribe teams for first round picks? I've got 40 million in cap room, and not a ton of targets to spend it on.
