  • OSFL Draft: Who Will Portland Take?

The draft is upon us and Portland has the #1 pick and a whole lotta holes. Will Portland become the 4th straight team to take a QB #1 or will the switch it up. Here are their potential choices:

Sammy Dillon - QB - South Florida: Dillon is big and fast but really undeveloped. He isnt going to be like former #1 picks like Nori and Whalen who were ready to play day 1. Dillon is more like Myron Allen and will take a few years to reach his potential. Its not like Portland doesnt have time to wait tough. Their starting QB is Henry Andrews who is perhaps the OSFL's first high pick bust. Portland couldnt go wrong picking Dillon.

Shedrick Allen- RB - Wofford- Allen looks like the real deal. He is fast strong and ready to start. Portland's current Rb's are either average or old so drafting Allen would be an immediate upgrade.

Orlando Bell- RT - Western Michigan: Portland has 3 tackles on the roster and only one is good (Lance Clayton) so Bell would be a great bookend on the other side. Portland could take Bell and hope that Allen or Bell could drop to #7.

    What do you think?
    13
    Dillon
    7.69%
    1
    Allen
    30.77%
    4
    Bell
    61.54%

he should take bell, so that was my vote. QB's are plentiful in this draft and Pat's there again at 1.7.
    Charlotte Knights - OSFL
    Syracuse Slammers - BLB
South America - 1984 WBC Runner Up

Portland just signed QB Damon Bishop so maybe Dillon isnt the pick.

Pat will draft Bumper Shot Weber.

              Book it.

What? First high pick bust? He was a 2nd round pick...and there have been many busts in the past. Also, I don't think the jury is out on Andrews. My scout still has him 47/50, and he has zero talent around him.

But...I did just sign Damon Bishop. They will fight it out in camp. I will very likely spend a draft choice on a QB, but it won't be the #1 pick.

Wally Lum has got to be the biggest high pick bust.

My bad. I was typing too fast. I meant QB bust.

Also Wally Lum was not a bust, he has a successful career as a football player/crack dealer. I dont see Andrews or any other player in the OSFL with two jobs.

I wouldn't say he is a complete bust yet...but he definitely regressed this season.

With Marlon Madison on the bench, I think we probably have a bust from 1.5.
