The draft is upon us and Portland has the #1 pick and a whole lotta holes. Will Portland become the 4th straight team to take a QB #1 or will the switch it up. Here are their potential choices:
Sammy Dillon - QB - South Florida: Dillon is big and fast but really undeveloped. He isnt going to be like former #1 picks like Nori and Whalen who were ready to play day 1. Dillon is more like Myron Allen and will take a few years to reach his potential. Its not like Portland doesnt have time to wait tough. Their starting QB is Henry Andrews who is perhaps the OSFL's first high pick bust. Portland couldnt go wrong picking Dillon.
Shedrick Allen- RB - Wofford- Allen looks like the real deal. He is fast strong and ready to start. Portland's current Rb's are either average or old so drafting Allen would be an immediate upgrade.
Orlando Bell- RT - Western Michigan: Portland has 3 tackles on the roster and only one is good (Lance Clayton) so Bell would be a great bookend on the other side. Portland could take Bell and hope that Allen or Bell could drop to #7.
What do you think?
