2011 DRAFT REMINDER AND UNOFFICIAL RULES
<HR style="COLOR: #a8a8a8" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Just wanted to remind everyone that the 2010 OSFL draft begins on Saturday at 10am (EST). The first round time limit is four (4) hours and the remaining rounds time limits are two (2) hours 2-6 and one (1) hour for 7. The draft utility has been live for the past week so feel free to fill your preference list with players your are interested in.
Here are a couple of unofficial rules for this years draft:
#1) Be Courteous and Keep the League Updated- Long waits between picks kill the momentum and fun of a draft so I would love if we have a fast moving draft. With that said, we all have lives and a fantasy draft is low on the list of priorities. All that I ask is that if your pick is coming up and you know are going to be away from the computer for a while, please post in the draft discussion thread and update your fellow owners. Same goes if you are waiting for another owner to respond to a trade involving your pick. In the later rounds, please use the auto preference list if you are going to be away from the CPU for a while.
If you miss more than one round of the draft without putting your team on autopick or notifying the league that you will be gone for a while, I will consider removing you from the league. The last two years we have had an owner who has ignored the draft and forced other owners to wait unneccesarily. Both years we replaced the owner after the draft. I'm not a stickler about many things but delaying the draft w/o warning your fellow owners is inexscusable.
#2)No Bitching and/or Moaning!- This one applies to everyone including me. One of the reasons we shortened the time was to reduce the amount of time owners had to wait between picks and to reduce the amount of complaining if an owner decided to take the entire time limit to make his selection. I'm hoping with the reduced time limit and a group of 32 courteous owners that the bitching will be kept to a minimum.
#3) Post in the draft discussion thread or chat room- The new draft utility has a chat room and I will post a discussion thread in the forum. Feel free to post about your draft picks, other team's picks or anything else draft related.
As veteran members of the OSFL will state, the Draft is the best part of the OSFL season. We have a Draft Utility that makes the process very easy and 32 great owners. Here's to a great draft.<!-- / message -->
