We had a nailbiter in paradise!

After managing to draw it within 3 late in the fourth quarter, the Wayfinders winning drive was struggling. On a 4th and 11, the quarterback dropped back and completed a pass... for 10 yards. A critical open-field tackle by the Gainesville defense. BUT... a flag on the play keeps the game alive for the Wayfinders...!

...only to have it end on a failed Hail Mary attempt on a 4th and 2 with 11 seconds left. Great game, Gainesville!

This has to be one of the most improbable games ever.
I had the ball on opponent half of the field 4 times and my net production was -35 yards. I had 15 penalties for 147 yards. I felt like I was "watching" a high school football game.
What is strange is on virtually every screen plays it states it is under pressure, but a screen play invites pressure. I am not sure why that consistent results in a bad throw. It seems this descriptions needs to be improve a bit, It is confusing to read. I expect a big play where there is a lot of pressure.

Anyway, I still felt like I should have had two or three FGs. We held them defensively except on the three drives they scored on. They really did nothing against us. They were big plays in there too. There were a lot of 3 and 5+ yards as well. Apparently, the offense lacks maturity and discipline. They consistent fail to close out scoring drives.

    Injury Report
LCB Miles Hawkins is out for the season
SLB Thomas Zorich injured is is questionable
NT Keith Lotter is out for 4 weeks.
    All defensive starters.

GG Brookland, The game started out and looked like it was going to be a real barnburner, gunfight at OK corrall game. Fans were going crazy during first half. However the Outlaws were done for come the 2nd half as they lose 20 - 44. Considering how tough a team Brookkland is if the Outlaws learn from this game, hopefully improvements will be seen.

The young QB continues to get it done, this week against the ghost of Aston. Our run game was not getting it done, but the defense gave us some tremendous field position and Holmes capitalized frequently.

I was worried we lost something big letting Dominic Book walk, but so far our young defenders have stepped up and taken it upon themselves to fill the gaps. Very pleased with everything so far except the ground game, which has been confusing at best.
