  • 2016 Draft Class

    Can I prompt all the owners to select 3 players from the NFL, who had the most impact for yourselves during their Rookie seasons?? Please donīt repeat the 3 players listed by other owners, so we can have some variety.
    I might bring a surprise to the OSFL when the new Draft class is revealed.

    I am going to start with the 3 more obvious candidates:

    QB Dak Prescott: The Mississippi State product delivered one of the finest seasons by a Rookie QB in the NFL.

    RB Ezekiel Elliott: The young RB from Ohio State led the NFL in Rushing yards.

    DE Joey Bosa: In just 12 games the Ohio State DE pushed opposite QBs down to the ground 10.5 times.

    Miami Sharks (BLB)
    * BLB Champions --> 2017, 2020.

    Ohio River Sharks (OSFL)
    * OSFL Bowl CHAMPION > 2036, 2047.

    WR Michael Thomas
    Drafted in the 2nd Round from Ohio State.
    REC 93 YARDS 1,137 TDs 9
    9643787-michael-thomas-deshawn-shead-nfl-seattle-seahawks-new-orleans-saints-850x560.jpg
    Set Franchise record for rookies receivers for receiving, yards and TDs. (Colston, Eric Martin, Cooks, Chandler)

    My former (still) jersey was Colston. One of the first things when I get back to NOLA is grab number 13s Jersey!

        1. QB Carson Wentz - Highest FCS player drafted at #2. I remember early reports had him as a potential late 1st rounder and it was creating headlines. But to then start all 16 games and go 7-9? Crazy.

        2. WR/KR Tyreek Hill - Major off the field issues after choking and hitting his pregnant GF. A lot of reports were he would go undrafted because of it. Falls to the Chiefs and becomes one of the biggest stories of the season. All-Pro. The NFL and its fans don't care how shitty of a person you are as long as you are talented. Sad.

        3. OL Laremy Tunsil - Procted as a potential #1 pick falls to 13th due to the bong video. Then reveals he was paid in college. Wild start to his career.
        Wilmington Wildcats- 2057-
        Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041
        Washington Bats - 1979-2013

            Zak & Prescott should not be allowed as picks they was so awesome lol. anyways here we go.
            #1 Chargers T.E. Hunter Henry I wish Dallas had him lol He is going to be a great one.
            #2 I wanted to say OL /G Tunsil then saw he was picked already so #2 Falcons MLB Deion Jones
            #3 Steady improvement but considering he is in Pittsburg when all said and done he will have a great carrer CB Artie Burns.

            I do wish Henry was replacing Witten at TE

                Hey guys,

                I'm so sorry to have missed some PMs a few weeks ago (no longer getting email notifications apparently) but I wanted to hop in and say way to go to Shark for taking over the commish duties! I'm sure you'll do great and it's terrific to see you at the helm of the OSFL. Likewise to King, I'm so grateful to him for how he stepped up and took over when I burned out last year. He kept this ship afloat and was an amazing and consistent commish. I hope he enjoyed his time chairing this shindig as much as I did, and as much as I hope Shark will. Hope y'all are enjoying FOF8, as well!

                Sweet new forum digs, by the way. Cheers to all :D

                        Bengals WR Boyd, best rookie year for a Bengals WR since A.J. Green. He was quietly very effective and the Bengals have an insanely deep offense coming into 2017, so he might not get much better than last seasons numbers because the ball has to be spread around, but he is the kind of guy who will have a long solid career and be reliable.

                        Browns QB Cody Kessler - Playing as a rookie on a total train wreck of a team, he put up respectable numbers. I think he is somewhere between Christian Ponder and Andy Dalton, probably closer to Ponder, but thats better than the Browns have had in a while. Pretty nice return on a later round QB pick for a team that really had nothing last year.

                        Bears RB Jordan Howard - When he played for Indiana I could see he was gonna have a successful NFL career. He is a workhorse with size and power, and he gets every yard he can. A grinder who can carry a hell of a load. He was consistently productive and should have a solid 6-7 years as a steady back in the mold of a Marshawn Lynch.

                          Oh just realized it was 2016 draftees for some reason I thought the post said recent NFL rookies oops.. well some 2016 draftees I liked were Eli Apple CB from the Giants, Karl Joseph SS Raiders, and Sterling Shepard also from the Giants.. Sterling caught 8 td passes as a rookie..and Apple was a solid defender.
