And the first AI team naturally picks a center at #3 overall. I know the guy's got max bars but come on.
An NFL tidbit. NFL teams that take OL int he first three rounds more often than not are successful. Teams that lose more often than not do not f=draft OL until rounds 4-7.
I manage two other teams. They both have average to below average runners. One team have outstanding OL and the running game is a must to stop. This team has clearly the best RB of the three, but the OL is comparable to the other team with less than ideal OL. The running game for both teams are sub par. I did draft a beast (I think third best player) OG, and he played stellar... one of the few bright spots on the team. For me the Center was no brainier. When the Saints traded Graham for Unger (plus a pick) we got a steal. Brees went from no time to throw the ball to almost all day. The same is true here... pressure on the QB more often than not disrupts the passing game.
So while I am happy with the DE, I would had probably taken that center. .

As I run a 3-4 defense both would be underweight for my Scheme... But I love investing heavily in defense... So will see... Pick or trade will happen right after the SIM today :)Miami Sharks (BLB)
