The Preseason Week 3 sim is complete. The next sim is Week 4 of the preseason. Next sim is scheduled for Saturday Morning. If anyone would like a midweek I will run it on Friday.

Portland 10, Pearl Harbor 24
Totally outplayed. If it wasn't for a 73-yard breakaway touchdown, this would of looked a lot worse.

The Good
-Third year defensive end Jeff Bellis had a sack and a pass block.
-WR Norman Beattie caught four passes for 115 yards and a TD.
-My rookie LBs played well. MLB Lenny Prescott had 9 tackles and 3 assists. OLB Kendrick Watkins had 5 tackles and 1 assist on only 31 total plays.

The Bad
-Maybe Damon Bishop isn't the answer at QB. He finished the game 12/27 for 175 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT.
-My offense couldn't get it together at all, and it killed my defense. PH dominated the time of possession nearly 2:1.

The Ugly
-Starting LT Lance Clayton has a sprained knee and will miss the rest of the pre-season.

Really happy with backup QB Steve Hines. His rating went down (I think) but he still went 11 of 14 for 148 yards and 3 TD's.

Also 1st round pick LB Omar Smith has 7 tackles and 1 knockdown.

They are who we thought they were. Next week we will shake the rust off the veterans and see who we are.

I'm not sure who Memphis had snapping on kicks but he needs to be fired. We blocked two FG's, two different rookies came through on the plays. We are not very efficient, running this offense without our starters so I have to pray that Allen is his normal ironman self this season. We lost 10-3. Our defense looks good even without the starters, so that's promising.

BTW, I cannot wait to change this stupid ass avatar.

Stupid. We are down by one. 30 seconds left in the game. We throw a long bomb on 1st down. its incomplete. 23 seconds left. We kicks a 53 yard FG and miss. game over.

Scrubs played pretty well.Lost backup FL Campbell for 3 weeks.

Positives:
Happy with how the game went... McGarrahan has looked solid this preseason.
I like what O'Donnell has brought to the run game so far. 19 rushes and 10 receptions in a preseason game is a bit much on his usage though.
Arnold even looked good in the pass game.

Negatives:
Big plays. Portland scored on a 60 yard strike... gotta limit those.
Injuries. Couple guys got nicked up... hope to avoid that going forward.
