Massive Victory in Portland, it looks that all what we gave to get Ciszcek from Anchorage is paying off, with a solid OL and great receiving corps, the small QB is shinning so far this season leading the league with a terrific 122.9 Rating, 8.57 Average yards per attemp, 17 20+T and an 11/1 TD / INT ratio.
Miami Sharks (BLB) * BLB Champions --> 2017, 2020.
GG Charlotte. Another solid defensive effort to carry a less than stellar offensive day. That's not unexpected, but holy cow 13 penalties, several of which wiped out big plays. Glen Godfrey is making the most of his scant touches so far this year, 8 carries for 60 yards and our only offensive TD.
On another note: one of my main goals this season has been to boost ticket sales, and my first two home games were a rousing success. The St. Paul game attracted more fans than the stadium has seen in five years. If I can keep the fans interested we should finish the year in much better financial shape than we did last year. The rebranding is working so far--Hawai'i is already falling in love with its Wayfinders!

GG Shark.
I mean come on though...a 98 rated QB with 8 100 ratings! Give me a break...there is nothing you can do to stop that. The next closest rating for QB is 83, then 72, with everyone else low 60's or below. I don't care what you gave up it wasn't enough. When you are 120% better than the 2nd best QB it's ridiculous.
Our comeback this week to win was nothing short of miraculous. A great performance by Holmes to bring us back from a 20 point hole in 10 minutes to win. He was partially responsible for digging the hole, but all is forgiven when he throws a game winning TD with less than 30 seconds left.
I have more or less let the AI run things for a bit, though I set it up initially and made one change in one week.
We are 0-4 but not because we have been abysmal in any one area. Of the four, only one game we looked lost. Unlike last year, the Offense has been moving the ball, but settling for FGs. We lack the extra "umph" to get things done when we need to and we seem to make costly errors at key moments in every game. The defense have been solid. More of ten than not they hold the opposing offense to limited success. Unfortunately, they give up two drives, but those tend to be for 7 rather than 3. The offense short changing them by coughing up the ball had led to points given up as well.
This is a young team, so I guess you can't expect them to perform like an experience team. When I get a chance, i will tinker with the offense to see whether I can engineer more success, especially in the red zone.
