Cruised past Kalispel with an excellent performance again from Ciszcek with almost 300 passing yards and 4 scores. Special mention to our Rookie bruiser RB who scored his first 100 yards game as a Shark, bright future ahead for him. Our own version of the Patriots offense is in full swing this year. 7-0 so far, but our starting and star players are suffering the effects of a hard schedule. Many of them are banged up already... Keep it up guys! Almost half season is gone!

Ciszcek 18/1 TD to Int Ratio and over 115 QB Rtg... Nutah would be proud of him.

      Hawaii 13 - Gainesville 12

Holy crap, another really tight game and another game that I spent pulling my hair out at my offense, only to have them wake up and come storming back in the 4th quarter. Willis was especially clutch: on 3rd downs, he had 4 catches on 4 targets for 4 conversions, including two on the game-winning drive; he was only 1 for 3 in other situations. Middleton was also a beast when it mattered most, 4 runs and 3/3 catches for 6 third down conversions. He extended drives all game long and kept our defense fresh, and then finished the game off with the winning TD catch. We needed every one of those conversions too. Our average starting field position was our own 19 1/2 yard line up until it was time to kneel on the ball.

Byron Moore was average as usual until the fourth, when he turned it on and had his best quarter of the season. Couldn't have come at a better time.

I know this is a known issue but man it still drives me nuts to see teams sit in man-to-man or 1-deep coverage in two minute situations. I really hope that shit gets patched soon.

We've got a tough home stand coming up against Morgantown and Yuma, and then another tough division game at San Francisco, before we finally hit our bye and get a chance to rest up. Some of our banged up guys will finally be available again over the next couple of weeks but every time I get a guy back I seem to lose two more. Thinking about installing hot and cold tubs on the team plane to give these guys more chance to rehab on those long haul flights back and forth from the mainland...

Top players in other league have great M2M CBs for Dime situations to play against the issue, I am thinking to start doing the same.

Weirdly enough, your corners and safeties aren't in man coverage in Man-to-Man. They're playing bump and run! No, really. Pull up a game log and find a man-to-man defense. Take a good long look. Really drink it in. Maybe get up, stretch your legs. Pour yourself a scotch. Make it a double: you'll need it. Come back and look at your screen again. Yup, still there. Bump and run. Now grow a beard, just so you can stroke it while gazing out your window into the pouring rain, trying in vain to remember what hope feels like.

...I really love this game but it very very badly needs:

          1) the ability to set up a 2-minute defense, or failing that have the AI not be terrible at doing this without you, and:

          2) replacing "Man-to-Man" with "Cover 0" and "Press 0" options, which would be more intuitive as it would fit with the rest of the defensive terminology in this game.

Not sure how I didn't export. I gotta remember to check the tracker!

Meanwhile we throw a 46 yard TD with :09 against cover 1 to move to 6-1.

I am on one win myself. However, my team is young and is a long way from being a playoff team, so the results are what I expecting them to be. The defense is actually playing well, but that is where most of the talent on the team is.
