That was closer than I expected.

    Warren Poland still fucking sucks.

An average performance overall to start the year.. the only reason we won by as much as we did was because of turnovers.

I'm hoping our 5/14 on 3rd downs and our porous pass defense in the second half and end of the first half is something that we do better on next week.

Overall, pleased with the outcome, and I like turnovers, but I prefer consistency.

GG Vegas.. Nice to finally get an easy W after all the dogfights we've had over the last few years.

GG SF. You guys got it done in the clutch... and we couldn't convert when we really needed to.

I hate to sound optimistic about this team... but I do. I'm sure that means a 4-12 season is ahead.

Defense was shaky in the beginning, but it all came together in the 2nd half.
We lived in the Denver backfield and knocked down Denvers QBs 9 times, 6 by Andrews.
Offensively, Perkins and Slade both went over 100 yards.

            GG Denver.

We went ahead big early and just coasted. I wish our defense would have been better and they allowed this game to come down to an onside kick. Rico was superb as usual but our running game continues to stink. This was the 1st of 3 road games to start the season.

Give Washington Credit for shutting down our run game. How Wesley Watson was not voted the Games MVP I don't know . 8 solo tackles, 2 fumble recoveries , one 82 yards for a touchdown and a pass defended. Nice to open with a division win.

Poland had a a great first half and was 16/20 at one point , but only finished 21/41

Yes, good game Yuma... 5 INT's and a Fumble means your defense is doing something right. And the 36 points on offense as well.

Vegas started 1st round draftpick Mitchell Joiner at QB, as incumbent starter Foy was nursing an injury. The kid's not ready, stunk it up, threw 3 INT's and got yanked shortly after.

My 3rd string QB has no ratings, and is on the team because he's simply mesmerizing at holding kicks. He always gets the threads pointing out. But once he's on the field we're not going to be catching up with anyone.

Still optimistic about the season though, looking forward to week 2.

Start with a win, that's good. Not happy with 4 fumbles and 10 penalties though.

Started with a win over the Chumps, but they broke Siegrist's leg and he's gone for 2 years. Talk about losing money.

Nice way to start the season. On offense, Nori just picked apart the Portland secondary today. The run game was held in check all game long which was disappointing. Rookie TE Reggie Clinton caught his first career pass for a TD and rookie T Rod Lake looked solid.

On defense, R.J. Peterson played like it was 2007 again with 2 sacks, 4 hurries and 2 blocked passes. CB Desmond Gougeon is now the man with the retirement of Kris Dixon and had 4 passes defensed.

We need to work on 3rd down offensively and defensively.

What a joke. We got pushed all over the field by Gainesville. I hate FOF. Everything I tried to do in the gameplan ended up playing out the completely opposite way.

                            The Good
-Rookie MLB Lenny Prescott seemed to be in on every play. Seven tackles, four assists, and he blew up numerous running plays that he didn't make teh tackle.
-The tight ends played well as a group. Starter Doug Jackson caught three passes for 15 yards. The backup Matt Blushman caught three passes for 69 yards. The third string, seventh round rookie Tracy Narcisse caught two passes for 26 yards.
-First overall pick RT Orlando Bell was 1/2 on key run blocks and didn't give up a sack.

                            The Bad
-QB Damon Bishop completed only 18 of 41 passes.
-My pass defense has to be better. Jay Nori completed 20 of 22 passes. That is gross.

-Starting RB Tim Legan ran for 18 yards on 12 carries. He lost his starting job.
