Count up your players, I am pretty sure that a suspended player doesn't count towards your 53 but I can't say for certain because I'm not at my computer.

You also can find out by the Sum of active + inactive players against the total players under contract. If he doesn't count against your 53 man roster you should have X active players and X+1 players under contract.

During the season you need to have 53 active + inactive players. It doesn't matter if you have 54 players under contract as long as only 53 can be dressed.
