Yeah that is defiantly a weird time clock glitch. Especially considering he gained 35 yards after the catch.

Has anyone actually emailed Jim about this? I am interested to hear what happens.

I have to inquire- why did we sim early???

I just spent about an hour on a gameplan for my wildcard game, only to come to the forum and see that it has already been simmed.

Isn't our normal sim schedule Saturday 9 am - Monday 5 pm - Wedneday 5 pm? It seems to me as though Week 17 was simmed Wednesday afternoon, so the playoffs would be Saturday morning.

Where did I go wrong in my calculations? This is really confusing, like finding out you slept in through Christmas.

As during the playoffs there are less GMs involved I try to SIM them every 48 hours tops. You also have the next SIM in every thread. It says clearly Wild card games Friday at 5 pm eastern after the Midweek on Thursday.

              You won regardless lol.

next SIM Divisional game on Sunday at 5 pm eastern, if more time is needed please let me know.

This 100% should be stated in the Week 17 thread if this is your intention. GMs should not be able to expect a change in the league schedule without prior knowledge. Midweeks are optional, I did not visit the Internet on Thursday or Friday to receive that information. I downloaded the Week 17 file on Wednesday and expected to have a sim on Saturday. Nothing when I downloaded week 17 told me that Wildcard weekend would be early.

For a league of many individuals, it is important that we are all on the same page. This is a part time league for fun, not a full time job. GMs should not be able to check the forum every day.

I propose that if there is a change to the schedule, it should be announced 2 sims in advance. If there is a change to the usual Saturday sim, we should know by Monday.

The reason I say 2 sims in advance is because of the following: if a GM is accustomed to the M-W-Sa schedule, they will expect that after the Wednesday sim, they will have until Saturday morning to download that sim and do their gameplan for the next week. So maybe that GM checks the forum Tuesday when downloading the Monday file, then they know they have to adjust their plans for the changed sim date.

I assume many GMs have a routine of when they fit files into their busy lives. FOF takes time, a luxury that most of us don't have enough of. I don't think it's a good idea to expect GMs to check the forum every day. People should not be expected to be plugged into the Internet every day. It's 2018, internet dependency is already a huge problem of society. It sucks to think that if I have a couple of days off Thursday Friday, go hiking in a beautiful forest disconnected from the cloud, head back home Friday evening in excitement of doing a gameplan for the big playoff game Saturday, then the Commissioner might do a surprise sim without me knowing.

Routine and regularity is important for human beings, FOF8 gameplanning is a time sink, and we really should have advance warning if we need to switch our schedule around. Especially for the playoffs, which are the most important games of the year, obviously.

                GG Utah.

Ok, I am taking note of it, your file for the Divisional game midweek was wrong, so ensure you have the divisional game file ready and exported for tomorrow at 5 pm eastern as stated in this thread yesterday.
