  • Do you want to be able to extend a player's contract after trading for him?

    * This will only by applied to players that have been traded during the regular season to a new team, that have 1 year remaining on their contracts and have 4 or more years of experience in the league.

    * The aim of this rule is to promote trade activity during the regular season.

    * Extensions will be managed by the Commissioner, and the contract will be the one that the player wants, the Commissioner won't negotiate.

Bumping this, I would like to have at least 10 votes before making a decision, it seems that the leagues is leaning quite heavily towards allowing this, please vote!

I voted yes, it makes sense and doesn't hurt the integrity of the league at all, while it may also be beneficial to teams who decide to make moves into the season to try and shore up a weak spot or replace an injury.

Okay am gonna take action on this, from now on, you will be able to extend the contract of players that you traded for during the regular season, when is only 1 year left in that deal, the price will be whatever the player asks for, I won't be negotiating or changing his terms.

I meant to ask this before...

Does anyone know if a player’s contract demands on his new team (post-trade) will be the same as his contract demands were on his old team (pre-trade)?
