Charlotte Knights-
Here are the facts: The Cougars were 2-14. They have a significant amount of money tied up in two previous highly drafted Qbs (Skeen (2-1) and Madison (1-5)). They have a good RB in Sedrick Thompson so RB isn’t an issue. They have two solid Tackles so rookies Thurman Press and Bruce Roberts aren’t options. Finally, they have the most talented rookie CB the OSFL has ever seen in Jeremy Camilleri of Alabama sitting at #1. This is a no brainer #1.
Port City Storm-
Chose QB Sammy Dillon last year with the #3 pick but traded him to Dakota before this year’s draft. The Steam also traded its best player in RB Wesley Bornstein o San Francisco. Their best players are a TE (Irv Furnas) and a T with a hip condition who hasn’t played in almost 2 years. Goes to show that this pick could go any way. QB Eddie Castillo from Portland State seems like a good choice but he seems to have the same skills as Dillon but is less developed. I think #2 is too high for RBs Chris Gardner of Oregon and Trevor Canada of New Mexico State. I see the Steam going T and selecting the more developed of the top 2, Thurman Press.

Portland Phantoms-
The Phantoms are more than set at T with last year’s number one, Orlando Bell and Lance Clayton. The Phantoms could go QB or RB with this pick. RB Craig Price and QB Henry Andrews aren’t going to cut it if Portland wants to get out of the bottom of the league. QB Eddie Castillo is an option but I think they will go with DE Scott LaBounty of Nevada. ILB Hardy Eicholz of Wake Forest is also an option but last year’s second # 1 pick Lenny Prescott plays that position.

Boston Fighting Irish-
Boston has no owner so I will make the selection for them. Edgar Cote is a good young QB so QB Eddie Castillo will still be on the table. There biggest needs appear to be RB and ILB and they are in the perfect position to draft a great player at either spot. The pick is between RB Cris Gardner and ILB Eicholz. If you made me choose to day it would be Eicholz.

Brooklyn Hitman-
It looks like Castillo will have to wait a little longer to get picked. Brooklyn selected Josh Bryant with a number 1 pick two years ago. He had a solid year in 2012 and continues to grow so QB isn’t a need. Neither is RB with Tim Hartman leading the way. What is clearly a need is T and Bruce Roberts looks like a good option. Roberts is raw and will take longer to develop than Thurman Press but he’s the best available.
