In 1984, Eric Dickerson ran for 2100 yds. That same year Dwayne Crutchfield ran for 337 for the same team. They combined for over 2400 yds. Ive never heard anyone argue that the Dickerson/Crutchfield combo from 1984 was on of the greatest rushing duos ever. They say that was an incredible year by Dickerson. Same for 2006 in the OSFL.
The only difference imo between Dickerson/Crutchfield and Clements/Moon is Moon had more Tds. While Moon's 7 tds is impressive, once you dig into the stats it wasnt that impressive of a season. Zero 100 yd games. More than half of his Tds were short yardage Tds. He really only had 2 good games that year (against Mepphis and St. Paul).
I think it was a legendary year by Clements and a solid season by Moon but that doesnt add up to the greatest RB combo ever imo.
