I'm ok with this one as well.

I change my vote to "yes" for getting rid of the reneg rule.

I will just defer to Jug's judgment in all areas :)

There's a poll up in the Rules forum. Brad, I think we should get that moved to the main boards for visibility. Stuff gets lost in those subforums.

I'm telling ya, it is scary how intelligent spambots are these days.

Some discussion on the cap reduction rule. Here's a pretty strong case 'for'.

I'm listed as next to last in cap available. Just looking at my roster here in FA1:1, I am already 70 million *under* the cap for next year. I can easily renegotiate to keep my entire roster AND land a couple star FAs this year. Even after that, I would be probably 20-30 million under and at a near-full roster, meaning I could go after a couple studs in FA again next year.

I'm not complaining, but if you want real decisions and the cap to mean anything, it's pretty necessary.

Again, to play devil's advocate - as I really don't have a strong opinion on this one - here's why people don't like the franchise tag option (A.J. McGee)

                    2020 Washington
                    Wildcard
                    Turned down a contract offer: 5yrs, $63,810,000.

                    2021 Washington
                    Designated franchise player
                    FA 1
                    Signed a renegotiated contract: 4yrs, $28,250,000.

                      That's a pretty valid point.

And to clarify, I didn't tone down the franchise-reneg, that was what he was asking. If anything, I think I tried to lower the reneg in 2020, because I couldn't quite afford it. So the disparity is even more pronounced.
