I wasn't sure if my guy was going to last so I had to make a move.

In Don Peller, I feel like I landed the best run stuffing linebacker in the draft. The best (and only red) agility score, 2nd best sole score, and 3rd best bench reps. Should be a force against the run as an ILB in the 3-4, with good play diagnosis and punishing hitter ratings. He is only 22% developed so he will need to get signed right away and get his reps.

Stood pat and picked T Jesse Wagner. Meh. Utah's now gone LT-RT with its first two picks of the draft. Might've gone Peller had he been available.

              1.25 - Ernie Hou - OLB - Wisconsin - 6'1 243

              -Fastest 40 time (4.49)
              -Strongest bench (24 reps)
              -Longest broad jump (10'0")
              -62% developed

Hou, originally born in China, was one of the most feared pass rushers in college football last season. His fluid hips and overall speed make him a good man-to-man cover linebacker as well. Although the pick was shopped, Portland is very pleased to have Hou in the mix for a starting OLB spot. Rumor has it the Phantoms will be switching from the 4-3 to the 3-4, which fits Hou's skill set better.

              2.14 - Don Peller - Oregon - ILB - 6'1 250

              -Best agility score (7.28)
              -2nd best sole score (36)
              -3rd most bench reps (27)
              -Best position score (41)

Two linebackers back to back, but completely different players. Hou is going to pass rush, Peller is going to stuff the run. The Phantoms actually considered drafting Peller with their first round pick. Should be able to diagnose the play, stuff the play with a punishing hit. Plus, he had the best position score, so I guess he can make some plays in coverage as well. Which is good, because the dude is slow as shit and won't make any plays rushing the passer. Had to trade up to get him, but I am very excited about the selection. Local kid too.

I'm heading to bed and travelling tomorrow; I should be covered through the 3rd round. If you don't hear anything before my pick in the 4th, just flip me over to scout pick.

Sigh, what a time to have major computer issues. My draft is toast. Wasted first two picks. My division foes will be pleased. Sets me back a whole season. At least I am back online.

Sorry to hear KAL. Nice to have you back! you never know though, I missed my first round pick a couple years ago and thought I was toast...DT Ilardi's since picked up +6 in potential and become a fair starter.

Hey guys, probably looking to move out of the 3rd. I have two picks in a row at 3.21 and 3.22, and want to push one of them into next year's draft. PM me for offers, but if I'm in the chat room a PM chat may be quicker to reach me.

Thought I could get him or Benton a few spots later, but trade talks fell through. Hopefully he replaces my recently retired ILB that led the team in tackles the last couple years. I'll need it, my LBs have been in a sorry state.

Pretty happy with the pickups in the 3rd. RB was our only huge major glaring weakness, so the rest is depth and special teams mostly.

CB Friedgen has some decent bars, but his agility score worries me a bit. But just looking for a 4th DB with ST, he should fit the bill.

RB Cochrane is a bit of an insurance policy, as in, can't have too many decent RBs. Especially given the vast wasteland I had in the backfield last year. Nice bars, ok camp, but really relying on that PR rating to hold, that would be a nice boost.

And with that, I'm out for the rest of the day. I have some in the utility that should cover me, probably into the 5th. But again, if I'm up and not around, just flip me over to scout pick.
