I should have a license back and be ready to go soon. Its been a long time coming, and I am sure to be a bit rusty, but I'm ready to get back in the saddle. Apologies for not keeping in touch, its been a busy couple months for me in the real world.. But the baby is coming along fine and looks to be healthy and on schedule, so I'm getting pretty excited about that.

I'll post again when the game is reinstalled and I can finally get back to business.

Thanks.. A couple Q's though.. I have to use an older version of the game still due to a tiny tiny hard drive being used for my windows installation - (not enough room for the couple gigs of FOF files..) - And I realize that will cause my contract offers to be a bit weird, and i will have to compensate for that by guessing and estimating things.. But I cant get the game to recognize the OSFL league. I have "Entered New Career" , and put the identifier in as OSFL2007, and selected the Aces as my team, but now the game won't allow me to load the universe, saying the saved game data does not exist.

Any ideas?

Hmm. I honestly don't know the answer to that question... maybe Ben or a trip to FOFC would be more helpful?

One of my big annoyances with the new FOF. The folder restructuring makes NO sense at all.

Setting up the game is always some guesswork for me. I copy the files around to different folders until it works out.

Are you just limiting the partition size of the windows installation? You can always get a gparted disk and change that up. Hopefully FOF developers realize this doesn't make any sense and change it back in the next update.

Never mind, guess I am on the new version - Its working now... And, since I only have spots in two leagues now, I suppose I can manage to keep the data from getting ridiculously taxing on my 1.5 GB of space. Looking forward to trying to right the ship.. Its been sailing off course for a while now.

I missed this badly, and its damn good to be back. Looks like the team is in decent shape, which is encouraging.. Just gotta try and get a grip on game planning now in the new system post patch.
