Strategy wise makes it so you can't say "Well, I was planning on taking 2 guys at that position, but now it looks like I won't need to", or "Wow, that guy came in a bit lower than I thought he would, so I might want a later round insurance pick." I like how the way this is mimics RL.

Yeah, I don't think you're wrong, just think it's a bad idea, for a number of reasons.
- Changes the way people draft
- Invariably, it will cause delays where someone on the clock is going to wait until the file comes out to see how they're doing.
- As you even said, it would require the commish to manually enter every pick. I'm glad that some commishes are crazy enough to do that, but I'd rather speed through it and have all the picks entered at once, automatically.

I think you said this. Linty never confirmed it but I rather suspect that he manually enters every pick. From what I understand, none of the tools that try to automate the pick entering process actually work.
Really, as I said before if the goal is realism I can't really argue.
On the other hand, once the draft is over my opinion is that the picks can and probably should be entered. At least up to round 6, for example. That was the main thrust of what I was getting at here.
