a bit of a reach but he was the fastest defensive player in the draft and as ben just said "cant coach speed". more intresting tho this guy was almost a carbon copy of Monty Mier just a little shorter (6'1) so hopefully i get SIMILAR results when i move him to CB i do have a glut at the postion but qantity doesnt equal quality

With Columbus taking a stud DT (the one I wanted, I might add), I chose an OL in order to fortify my line. I might move him on the inside to guard where I can better utilize his strength for the run game. Don't know yet.
Perhaps grabbing a DB would've made more sense since I now have to face Ben's insanely talented receivers twice a year, but I'm hoping my switch to a 3-4 defense will allow me to create some more pressure, thus making my CBs play a bit better. We'll see. A trade might be in order, or there's always next year.
Edit: Btw, I'm glad I'm getting to draft with you guys this time. I joined right after the last draft and really felt out of place with my team. Now I feel like I can own it and am more a part of the league. Plus, drafting is addicting. ;)Last edited by garion333; 03-18-2011, 08:02 PM.

He didn't really break my heart. I would have been happy for him to fall to 1.20 or something like that... But to say he is worthy of a 1.5 selection is - I think - a bit of a stretch.Originally posted by Nutah View Post
Columbus breaks everybody's hearts - again - when they take WR Tyrus Dennis at 1.05.
For sure he is VU, maxed big play bar, probably maxed getting downfiled bar and all his other bars will creep. But it is not like his combines are off the charts or anything. And... a 29 sol score with an 87 intelligence... which usually means a pretty low route running.
I think for sure he will be a good WR. But to say he is the best WR in this draft... I'm not sure. Just too many questions to say anything for sure about him.

Well, I was kind of secretly hoping he would make it down to 1.18. I thought he had a shot, but I also kind of wondered if Ben was going to take him up there.
I'm not very inspired by the other WRs in this draft, which is why I said he's the best. Maybe one of the others turns out to be better...but if I had to take one WR and one only, he'd be the slam dunk pick. Unlike last year, where there were a number of top WRs to target. I don't think he's another Crazy Legs or anything, but I really had this pipe dream that he'd get down to me at 1.18.
This isn't really about value at 1.05 though, but I don't think it was a bad move, reach or not.Last edited by Aston; 03-18-2011, 09:01 PM.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

Yeah, I agree. Definitely not the draft if you want a stud WR. There is value in this draft but not much at the skilled offensive positions.Originally posted by Nutah View Post

Totally missed my pick but I'm happy with perry #2 here.
I know i registered for the utility but i saw I was auto picked and had to re-register... And I didn't get a notification for my pick through email. Anyone else have a problem like this?Last edited by Jake; 03-18-2011, 11:09 PM.Charlotte Knights - OSFL

It's because there was a problem with the Conscriptor installation. When Ben and Linty fixed it, it reset the draft and everyone had to re-register afterwards. See the "draft reset" thread.
By the way, before the Draft Utility was fixed your pick autofired something odd, so the burning question everyone has is, did you put some low-rated RB in your priorities queue? :-PFloat likeabutterflysting likeabee.
