Week 3, 2020
Utah -at- Anchorage
Denver -at- Kalispel
Memphis -at- Los Alamos
Waco -at- Phoenix
The Water Gun versus the Run-and-Run. Both teams are only 1-1 so far this year. This one's a tossup. Two well-managed teams with very different offensive philosophies. Memphis has been hit a bit hard by retirement lately (owning the last two Legends of the Game, and actually, five overall, to lead to the league - all on offense), but they still have Lee Syms, and Britt Meyer in his third year with the team. I see Los Alamos is getting pretty dang good mileage out of Dennis Hawley, which is more than I could get out of him all year last year.
Same deal with Waco and Phoenix, two 1-1 teams. Waco's recently unvacated again. Tom Skeen's had a good year for the Riders so far. We'll see if he keeps it up.
The new staff at Denver is a surprising 0-2, with little life shown in a beatdown to Columbus last week. Things don't get easier for them. Kalispel's also 0-2, but that has to be a case of simple misfortune. Tomr's squad should have the firepower to beat Denver and send that team really into a downward spiral. To the delight of their AC West brothers.
Lastly we have the Utah "Rape me gently, please, Anchorage" Bees. We played better than expected in handling Charlotte a week ago, but in retrospect, not that surprising. AI Charlotte didn't even do too well a year ago. Anchorage, on the other hand...
