1.27 RDE Walter Vanover 44/72 His endurance may be a little on the low side, but if he can perform to the maxed out potential of his RD and PRT he will more than make up for it.
49/71 +5/-1, very happy with this, as I think the future will go up anyways, and it will give me a good tandem of DE's, especially since Carraher went +3/+3 in camp!
He should compliment LDE Carraher 76/76 nicely, and give me a damn good duo of DE's for years to come.
2.29 WR Wesley Fuller 22/47 Not the WR I really wanted, but if he can catch the ball and avoid drops, that's all I can ask for, he should get some playing time this year, but I don't think he will be a starter for a year or two, unless injuries pile up.
22/41 0/-6 not a good camp at all, probably won't make the team.
3.28 WR Bart Castronovo 20/48 6'4", very high AD, GD, 3rd Down, Courage, and A2B, with a Position drill of 55, he should be a red zone threat and a play maker on 3rd down for years to come.
21/43 +1/-5 but he still has the bars where I can use him, so he should make the team.
5.18 RB Brett Fitzgerald 27/61 Not the worlds best 40 yd dash, but pretty damn good else where. He can move to FB and increase in ability, but the real reason I drafted him was for returning kicks, which he should be damn good at. He also looks to be good at coming out of the backfield so it should give me another option for my passing game.
28/54 +1/-7 didn't like the drop that much for future, but he can still return the ball and a 99 elusiveness will come in handy, plus he can still come out of the backfield to receive the ball, so he fits my system very well.
5.29 SS Katzenmoyer 19/64 Great against the run, as well as all 3 phases of the passing defense, with a knack for interceptions, he should be a stalwart on defense for years. He could make the move to RCB with no ratings drop...unsure if I'm willing to gamble there or not.
21/57 +2/-7 didn't like his drop for the future either, but he did move to RCB, and can still play all 3 pass defense's, so more than likely will stay with the team.
6.28 LCB Pete Doyle 15/45 Great against the run, good zone and picking the ball off, as well as being able to return kicks and punts. A move to FS or SS should improve his ratings, and he looks to be better suited in that role, so a switch is more than likely to happen.
21/46 +6/+1 the move to S panned out very well, and he will make the team.
7.27 RCB Ricky Fite 23/51 Great against the run, BaR, and PD, as well as a knack for interceptions. A move to FS or SS should improve his ratings as well, and could happen.
26/52 +3/+1 the move to S panned out for him as well, so I've got a couple of young guys that should develop very well, and can spell my vets during the season. Not bad for a late 7th round pick, not bad at all.
If I move both Doyle and Fite to the Safety position that will give me 4 guys there that have a knack for getting interceptions, plus it would get me prepared for when 10yr vet Schultz retires. With 6 safeties on the roster, moving these 2 would get me to 8, and then down to 7 if Katzenmoyer moves to CB, so I will have some competition in TC.
Un-Drafted guys that have been signed that I hope improve enough to be worth keeping on the team.
FB Albriktsen 21/55 Looks to be very good at RB and PB, but excellent at blitz pickup. I needed a FB and if he can settle in at 35/35 but keep his blitz bar I'll be happy to keep him around.
24/51 Still looks to be very good at blocking, and picking up the blitz, so looks like he will make the team.
WR Botello 16/52 Great at AD, 3rd Down, Courage and A2B, he could be a sleeper, and another weapon for 3rd down conversions, but his volatility may come back to haunt him in TC.
17/43 his volitility came back to haunt him, but it won't hurt the team when he is cut.
SLB Emmons 22/56 Great against the run, M2M, Zone, and ST. A move to SILB should increse his ratings, and would be a perfect fit for my 3-4 defense and a great backup for 12yr vet Eicholz. Emmons could be a sleeper pick that takes over for Eicholz in a year, if he has a good TC.
23/51 his move to SILB wasn't a smooth transition, but his RD, and Zone are right where I want them, and he makes the team.
LCB Blackwell 29/53 Damn good against the run, M2M, and Zone, as well as a knack for the ball. He was a player I scouted and was very surprised to see him go un-drafted. A move to S could improve his ratings, but I like his bars where they are at for a CB.
30/48 Still a very balanced CB, and he should make the team, and be able to help out whether against the pass or defending the run.
SS Andersen 14/59 An intriguing UDFA to say the least. Run, M2M, BnR, PD, Int are all in the 75'ish range, plus his KR/PR are up in that range as well, which is the reason I went after him. If he can return either kicks or punts with that kind of ability, I want him doing just that!
17/51 Chances are he won't make the team, especially since his PR/KR is 0/44 for both.....not someone I want returning the ball.
My Scout is Excellent at the DB position and VG with Young Talent, so some of the moves for my CB's and S's just might be the way to go. If some of these guys hold their bars well, the secondary I'll have on the field for the coming season will be much better at getting interceptions than they were last year, as well as being much better against the run.
I had the number 1 offense in points, and yards, so I didn't add a lot to the offense. I did add C Galloway 59/59 from a trade with Utah, so that does improve my OL, now I just hope he stays injury free for me.
C Galloway, now 60/60, I'll take the small bump.
I needed to improve the defense and it looks like I have, only time and TC will tell. I was 9th in yards allowed, which isn't bad, but I was 15th in points allowed, and that's not good as far as I am concerned. With the draft picks and UDFA pickups, I also added...
SLB Hammond 58/58 from a trade with Yuma. He is a well balanced LB, and will improve my LB corp as well as mentor my younger players.
Not sure if I'll get any more players, but will find out after tonight's sim if any more FA's sign with me or not.
