My question is... how do the experts (aka you) view bumps or drops from free agents?

Not an expert! only tried to summarize some well-known stuff, and the rest is opinion (which can be open to disagreement =P)

My take on free agents is that they go through unmasking during TC same as everybody else, but do not go through any development. I believe they also are subject to volatility, however.

So while often there isn't much left to look at by this point, it's worthwhile to check out the list of free agent rookies and find some more talent that way. I doubt very much I'll be making any offers this year, but I've found some quality players post-TC in the past (FS Lance Morris, and FS Lamar Rivera who's now on Dakota, of course being two examples)
