QBS - McBriar had a decent camp with limited playing time and didn't show a penchant for throwing picks, even with garbage receivers against the Bees in Exhibition Week 4. Let's hope he can keep it up! Nate Small will backup McBriar. Zandofsky will continue his journeyman journeys, as a 35/35 3rd stringer, even with exceptional affinity, is a luxury we can't find space for. J. Zellner returns as a third stringer with Dakota and will hold kicks.
RBS - J.B. Trotter heard he was possibly going to be replaced as starting RB by annual nemesis, Rob Wickes. All he did is tear it up almost every game. Trotter will be starting, and the disgruntled Wickes was extended before he could get more pissed off.
OL - The old dogs Lincoln Lewis and Andre Peterson will be back at tackle. Timothy Batchelor age/VSOD'd down to a 33 rating but he'll stick due to his cohesion bonus and the fact that Chorak was hurt for 3 weeks at the end of preseason. Not too happy having to start him at G, though.
WR - Reverend Lovejoy impressed in TC, but he'll start as a backup to overachiever Bernie Jones. He'll probably take over the starting job sometime this year, though. Former undrafted FA Toby McCarthy had a nice preseason as a WR, but he'll stick around since he projects to be a decent PR. Longtime slot receiver Donald Lemieux is on his last legs, but someone needs to mentor Lovejoy so he'll make the roster.
TE - We have a "real" TE to start with Rickey Bradley, but he has zero endurance. Britt Peters will still see plenty of time, especially on passing downs.
DL - Love this group. Lots of young guys who can get to the QB. A.J. Hassett should approach his beast mode ceiling this season. Vincent Schroeder has always overachieved and will still see the field, but with all that young talent his playing time will diminish as the season goes on, especially to 3rd rounder Wes Pimentel. Gaylor, who we converted to DE from LB, probably won't see much playing time this year, but should be a huge factor (and a starter) in the future.
LB - Former 3rd round bust Carlos Brumley is gone, as is one of the LBs from my first draft, Kenneth Riley. Roderick "Past Injustices" Montgomery will start at MLB while being spelled by young talent Ferguson. Solid LB corps.
CB - After our 1st rounder, Hutchins, this group is very thin and a weakness of the team. Overachieving vet Blaine Gimmaro returns, but as a backup.
S - Greybeard Roosevelt Dunn sticks around to start for another year at FS. Lamar Rivera will take over as starting SS, replacing the disappointing Kevin DiBlasio. Rookies May and Maiher will see playing time, but are really a year away from contributing.
