While we won't be involved in the draft this year, nor very active in FA since everyone from the team will be back this year.
We have to start the year a lot better than last years 1-4 record, even though we managed to get to 8-8 by seasons end, that just won't cut it.
I was happy with how they played at the end of the year, 4-1, including a big win against North Liberty, who at the time had only 1 other loss on their record.
I'm hoping the team will perform better with a few game plan changes, as well as some differences in TC this year. If we still hover around the .500 mark, I think we will have to make some changes and deal some of our talent away, and rebuild.
QB Erickson's play has dropped off once QB Virola was traded away in the 2023 season and if he can't do better than 56.6 completion percentage, 2,862 yds passing with 17 TD's and 12 Int's, then the Gaels will have to look at being able to draft or trade for a franchise QB, and it will have to get done sooner rather than later. WR Strickland is getting up there in age, but I don't want to see 3yr WR Harward or 5yr RB Kinney get past their prime before we are competitive again, no 8-8 isn't competitive, it's mediocre.
