Not nearly the season of upheaval I was hoping for. For the 2nd season in a row, we've done precious little in the draft or FA, so it's another season of riding past successes. However, there are a couple of notable changes to make it interesting.

    - QB Austin Austin is gone. Won 50 games, but was absolutely abysmal in the playoffs. Overstayed his welcome AND held out. Time for a change. Problem is, there's no clear-cut answer in his wake. Gene Sane is 48/48 and creeping, looks good - but zero sense rush really hurts his chances of meaningful starts. 2nd year QB Prescott actually looks ok for such a disappointment in his initial camp. We will probably go with Sante early, but with a very short hook. I don't see either as the long-term solution, but neither are hopeless.

    - Back to the 3-4 this year. Mostly due to personnel issues. Long-time LB Alfred Enochs has stepped down in a big way - in everything but PRT/PRS. Hence, a perfect rush-backer now. I think our front seven is still a strength this year.

I'm hoping I can milk more out of the passing game finally. Have a very deep stable of receivers, augmented by first-round TE Cory Mathis. This team could potentially be dangerous from 2TE or 5WR and everything in between - if the QB does his job. And especially early on, this could be key, as Gino Hanks is currently down with the dreaded Turf Toe. This is not the powerhouse running Bombers team of 2019.

I think this franchise has coasted the last few years, taking advantage of rebuilds in the rest of the division. It's going to be a very different season this time - it has to be. We can potentially take this again, but it will be a struggle. 8-8 is not going to win this division again.

QB party in da house! I see them all partying like Matt Leinart. Good luck with that.

Time for a good, old fashioned Matt Leinart hot tub party.

        Bump for the boobies.

Not much to say in the final analysis. Neither QB could really deliver, and Gino Hanks was a total non-factor most of the year. First losing season in a dozen, and our division title streak is over.

The WR corps is getting older, but it's been an underperforming bunch. So maybe that's good, change a-comin'. Neither Prescott nor Sante are completely out of the picture at QB. Defense still has a couple stars. Will see how the off-season unfolds.
