  • Ohio River Sharks 2030

Another Off-season, againt time to wait until the ball is in the air for the 1st Season Kick-offs....

But I will try to make it more easy for my Ohio fans and all the fellas that come around reading the texts!!

    Staff Hiring

We tried to grab the excellent new offensive coordinator of New Orleans but now he is with Tagged Walter Andrews (I think it is his 5 tag in the 2 diferents temas that he played) and we resigned Travis Wheeler, "B+" Offensive Coordinator for the next 5 Years.

Also Howie Geib "B" will develop our youngsters during the next 5 Years.

Our scout "C+" A. Myers grows something seeing HBs and will be with us 5 Years more too...

Some stability in the Coaching Staff when the Sharks will start the rebuilding mode in one or two seasons at the latest is pretty good. Not the best in the league but at least they are working together since I am here.

    Franchise Tag: DE Omar OīNeill

Any doubts about here, He is talented, experienced and are only 13 Sacks away to be the best in the OSFLīs history. Time to see what happens with him in TC and re-sign to a maybe 3 Year extension for a low price... I am pretty happy with him and will be retired as a Shark

    Summer League: QB Leroy Chustz

I donīt have really nothing to loose send him to Europe, he crashes again -1/-3 in the FA1 and now is 16/52, maybe with some action I could see in the Pre-season what kind of player he will be, but without a doubt at this point is a "Jamarcus Russell" bust after trading 1.19 to jump at the 1.3 last Draft and grab him. This year he will be developed and will fight in the Pre-season for the starting job, but nothing good I can see in the future for him... I wish some time for surprises (Oh my God listen my prayers)

              Free Agency

After signing all our RFA is time to grab some gems for the TC and new players who will turn our team in a contender!!

QB Jonathan McBriar 13th Year 42/42 > After carry us into the Play-off brackett, we have our insurance policy for the next 3 Years, maybe he will retire as a Shark, maybe will be fired if Gordon or Chustz steps up.

              QB Michael Peterson 6th Year 37/37 >
After spend the back-end of the season with Pearl Harbor the prodigy son come to the house again, this time for 3 Years and with just the role of develop Gordon and Chustz as a mentor. We are searching for a mentor and we have the right solution.

QB Alex Owens 3rd Year 10/23 --> Our new Holder after Kinney had troubles with our Receivers leader Erickson, we are looking for a happy locker room and affinities rather than better players with conflicts.

QB Rick Grant 2nd Year 9/21 --> Last year he was in the Sharkīs TC and this year I want to see his development, maybe he not earn a Roster spot with now 2 projected starters and 2 veterans right now, but maybe is a back-up solution at some point.

RB Kenneth Ascenįao 2nd Year 25/35 --> Another ex-Totem in the Sharkīs TC, I am looking for a 3rd Down Back to leave some touches to Grauman, see if he can reach his catching potential and make the team in September.

WR Jessie Westbrook 5th Year 45/45 --> We have been looking for years a complement for Neal Howe and this guy from Port City is our best adquisition in the Free Agency this Year, he had all the tools to be a perfect possession receiver opposite our super-star, 270 Catches, 3049 Yards, 11.29 Avg/ and 39 +20Yards in 4 seasons in the best ACīs division put him as a threat with the ball in his hands, needs to work a little getting the End-Zone and could put the Sharkīs offense in the next Level.

              WR Juan Connelly 2nd Year 18/33 -->
His 48 BPR and potential 50 Courage could put him in a position to make the roster during the summer.

WR Justin Eyles 2nd Year 16/28 --> Classic trouble player with the Red Flag aura but his 59 BPR and potential 50 AD in his attributes make us hard to pass on him.

WR Jackie McKenzie 4th Year 26/26 > 38 BPR and 43 3rd catching, probably he not make the team after the TC but I want to see a lot new pass-catchers in summer dressed as a Shark and fighting for a spot.

K Rob Krieger 10th Year 74/74 --> After DeNeff struggles during the last two season we found another veteran one who will hit Field Goal after Field Goal to finish our drives.

CB Dusty Farmer 5th Year 45/45 --> Former 3rd Round Pick who earns the starter position in Port City last Year, time to see what could do against powerfull aerialīs attack in the AC East.

              CB Kurt Hart 6th Year 37/37 -->
We need to revamp our CB position after are getting older, Hart is a polished veteran with the capacity to play in the Nickel and Dime sets.

                      2030 Draft

Round 1 Pick 29 - WR Seteve Worsham (San Diego State) 25/35

Polished and ready to play product with the mission to up-grade inmediatly the Sharks passing offense, he could grab the ball, break the defender and score in every position along the field, he is a real threat when the ball is in his hands.

                      Round 4 Pick 19 - CB Dean Ayi (Lousiana-Monroe)

Hi falls a lot in the pools despite have a great combine and the problems with the Drugs in the NCAA, a well liked but volatility guy who could turn out our Nickel CB position or make a good break and start opposite Holliday, all depends in his Work Ethic and Passion for Football, I think is a good play grabbing him at this point and see how turns in TC or when VOL HIT will made

Round 4 Pick 26 - OLB Christian Rafalski (Lousiana State)

Máster in stopping runners he will be (I wish) the Farmerīs succesor, he smells the run, the gap and go with excellent agility to tackle the runner all over the Field, due a couple of injuries we couldnīt see playing versus a high profile rivals so his real awareness and play is unkowned at this point. Decent combines, big VOL Bump, the kind of guy that I LOVE TO PICK IN THE 4th ROUNDER

Round 6 Pick 17 - WR Ty Von Oelhoffen (West Virginia)

He undergoes ACL surgery in the spring and canīt show in the Scouting Combine, he could be one of the sleepers in this Draft due his big potential, he can grab deep balls and bubble-screens to da house, see if he show at TC that is well recovered and ready to jump to the Pro-Style.

Round 7 Pick 26 - RB Matthew Davidson (Stanford)

He is a Reggie Bush creative running-back that we are searching all over the Drafts, has the hability to catch the football out of the back-field and shake the defenders in open field due his low gravity center. Sometimes so much creativity turns plays in losses, he needs to hit the hole and start to play himself in the 2nd level, could be a monster If his vol. hits properly.

Only 5 new Sharks in the camp after the Draft.

Short class but I think should be a good class, all the players have the tools, development and the young factor to explode into the camp. Also the later rounds have the volatility factor which could transform they in hardly to beat machines...

Anxious to get the camp file and see their stats, more anxious to see the progressions.

Defensive Endīs Sharks begun a Holdout

After being tagged Omar OīNeill donīt want to play as a Franchise player and show the intention of "No sign" his tender. He wants his last pay-check as a elite player and we will give him his demands... I am a little worried about if I can wait until the TC ends and make a contract adjusted to his age hit... Or If He donīt want to sign with us anymore... "I want to stay in Ohio until my career ends but I need to resolve my familyīs life with the last paycheck, and I am pretty sure that we can reach an agreement for both parts"

In the other side of the line Brant Thomas still creeping and after reach a salary adjustement two years ago he again wants to be paid as a cornerstone of our defense. "I like to play each weekend, but we are one play away of fall into the darkness, I am the leader of the Front 7 right now and a Mentor to our youngest Defensive ends, so I want to sign my extension and play safe with my situation for the nexts 4 Years, only 43 Millions and I will continue with my labor here"

Ehhh let the bum hold out and just franchise him every year. If he refuses to play this season it's his problem!
