    How about it?

The AC West used to be the conference of mediocrity, with four fairly even but nondescript teams pummeling each other for the title of best of the worst. The division winner rotated every year.

This was before the era of Utah and Denver, and thereafter, just Utah.

But now, for I think the first time, the AC West is asserting itself as a true superconference. That, historically, has been entirely the domain of the NC, which for the past ten seasons or so not only has had most of the top teams in the league, but several of the most dominant conferences (the West, and whichever one Columbus is in, in particular.)

This year, the Riders have by far the league's most enviable set of passing weapons, adding a legitimate QB to a pair of receivers that would've stacked against Gainesville's in their recent heyday. At 6-0, they look like the team to beat. Utah has certainly learned its lesson in allowing Stanley Morrison to get to Phoenix.

Denver, which supplied Phoenix Liening but still made out handsomely in the deal, has resurged themselves. I think we're going to see more than one playoff H2H within the division this year.

    Going to be exciting times.

as much as i lament giving away Emerson in the deal i knew i had to over pay for that deal in conference.

i think weve been a very good conference many years supplying 2 playoff teams and denver and i winning against everyone but you in fact the only reason the door has creaked open is cause of Randys "tobacco" habit

but guys this is why you dont trade with utah! if he would have gotten morrison it would have been another 12 years of dominance. 12 bowls in 12 years

that being said i dont look forward to playing denver and i surely dont look forward to playing utah again but at lest there is hope in the desert again! not since the days of Tom Skeen have we felt this good about our chances

ill agree tho in a strange way i cant help but think Denver may have gotten the better of the deal still 2 more 1st of mine and 2 cornerstone players in Donovan Wright and Hugh Emerson i didnt see who they drafted this year but im sure it was a fine pick
