    Round 1 Pick 4 (4th overall) - Norm Dakota - QB - Texas Christian

Quarterback was a primary need on our roster and we had three first round QB targets (Norm Dakota, Austin Arnold and Heath Morton). Dakota was available at pick 1.4 and we took him. We see him as our franchise QB for the next 15 years.

    Round 1 Pick 13 (13th overall) - Joel Wooden - CB - Kansas State

After trading starting Cornerback Mitchell Mayes to Utah last year we had a big hole to fill in our secondary. We traded our 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks in 2036 to Motor City for this pick and pick 4.12 (kicker Orlando Alston). We project Wooden to be our #1 CB for the next ten seasons.

      Round 2 Pick 5 (37th overall) - Jason Shaw - FB - Temple

We selected Jason Shaw early in the second round because we felt that he had the best combine numbers and was the safest draft pick and best player available. We project him to either be a starting FB or starting TE.

In FOF7, I'm no longer confortable unloading that many future picks. Too many studs become duds.

          Round 3 Pick 4 (68th overall) - Ralph Ordonez - K - North Caronlina State

We really wanted to draft Wake Forest kicker Jackson Gardner with this pick but he was selected by Morgantown with the last pick of the second round. He settled on Ordonez whom will battle fellow rookie Orlando Alstin for kicking duties in Waco this year.

Round 3 Pick 32 (96th overall) - Liam Yohn - WR - Eastern Tennessee State

              Round 4 Pick 5 (101st overall) - Deion Winslett - WR - Michigan Tech

Similar to Yohn, we drafted Winslett to add to our WR depth. We feel that he projects to be a #3 or #4 wide receiver. He also shows potential as a punt returner.

                Round 4 Pick 8 (104th overall) - Dan Graham - G - Elon College

We saw Graham as a great value pick here and felt that he was the best player on the board at the time.

Having so many picks this draft, we decided to take a second kicker and let the two rookies battle for the kicking spot in training camp.

                    Round 4 Pick 14 (110th overall) - Bryce Henry - P - Oklahoma

With Future Hall of Famer Melvin Brunell leaving Waco for free agency this off-season we felt that we needed to add a young punter to replace him. Our scouts thought that Bryce Henry was the top punter of this draft class and that he would be gone by our next pick in round 6.

Liked Dakota a lot and LOVED wooden. You should be set at two of your starting positions for a decade +.

Here's all I read: Morgantown took a kicker, so I had to take two just in case.

My scout show's Dakota's future rating as 67. I was hoping he would be more like a 75 overall. Hopefully he gets a training camp boost.
