  • South Maryland Trading Block

LT Shannon Mitchem, 60/60 by my scout, is on the block. I have franchised him.

I'm willing to take players, if you have a player I value. If it looks like Mitchem will be a starter for you, I'll obviously want a starter for me in return if you are doing a player trade.

I will keep him another season if I don't trade him. If you want to offer picks, I'm going to start the bidding at a 4th round pick. Bidding will stay open until one of 2 events occurs. Event #1 - I get an offer that I feel is fair and I am willing to immediately make the trade. You don't have to play the bidding war. Make a good offer, and be the first to make a good offer, and we won't have to go through the bidding process. Event #2 - Around the beginning of the draft I will accept the best offer made up to that point.

During the bidding process, I will reply to all offers, to let them know if their bid is the high bid, or if the high bid is outbid. I will not tell anyone what the high bid is or what team made the high bid.

    Adding:

CB Everett Hernandez. This will be his 4th season. He is a former 2.6 pick. He has 8 INT over the past 3 seasons. I don't mind keeping him, but I want to go in another direction. Before I give him a big contract, I would like to see if there is interest.

I'm surprised that there is zero interested in either of these guys.

I'd really like to get some picks in the current draft, so if these guys are still on SMD after the draft, I am going to remove them from the block and keep them.

Not a lot of trade action right now.

I expect it'll pickup once people whiff on some FAs and we get closer to the draft.

Prices are pretty high and personally I'd like to see what I get in the draft.

I would tend to disagree, and here's why:

            1) There is no price for Hernandez, so the price cannot be high.
            2) A 4th round pick for a quality LT is pretty low. Are you able to get a better player in the 4th round of the draft? I think not. Therefore, I would suggest that this price is not only a good price, but the value is definitely there.

You are missing one thing under my opinion, and is the Cap Figure, itīs very important right now to have the right guys with the right cap impact, I just sent one starter LT and one good back-up TE packed together for a 5th Round pick and it was because the cap hit, it was the only offer that I got.

              Just a heads up
