Quite literally, we're in the hole financially. This doesn't mean we are insolvent, but the team is also aging a little and we would like to get younger this off season. The guys listed here are guys we really want to deal, they will come cheap and they will be easy deals. They will be on the block until they are dealt or until they play out their deal.
My scouts are rated around 65 OVR as a group, so the OVR's below should be reasonably accurate.
SS Ethan Walker (11th year, 32 years old, 67/67 OVR) - Walker is a coverage safety who has been part of one of the best secondaries in the league for a while. We're looking for a high 4th rounder or a 4th+6th for this rent a safety, first come first served.
FL Lonnie Gomez (6th year, 27 years old, 43/43 OVR with solid receiving bars across the board) Gomez has been our number 2/3 receiver for his entire career and has 264 catches for 3133 yards in that span with a solid 57% catch rate. He averages almost 7 yards per target for his career and really lit it up last year as the 3rd WR in his first season as a non starter. Looking for a late 4th, early 5th for him, he is a great depth WR who can start in a pinch, and he is still young. He wants a modest 15.15 over 3 years to re-sign, or you can deal for him, cap him out, and then make a decision next season.
