  • Anchorage Trade Block

I took over this team in the middle of last season. Honestly, I don't like it that much, and I want to do a major makeover. So, I'm going to post the guys I will not trade. Everyone else is available. I'm taking the best offer made for each guy.

Here arethe guys I am not interested in trade. To be honest, maybe anyone canbe had for the right price, but for these guys the price will be high.

    Fullback Erick Beyer
    Center Rodolfo Emmons
    Guard Dusty Norton
    Tackle Rex Gibson
    Punter Jessie Mancini
    Kicker Jackson Gardner
    Defensve End Andre Codie
    Defensive End Vernon Ambra

Everyone else can be traded. I've been researching trading in MP, and I don't need to trade anyone. I won't trade a guy unless the trade is fair. There are many GMs who like to lowball new GMs. I feel I've done enough research so that I will know a lowball offer. I will decline to deal with guys who are lowballers in the future. I like the idea of trading, so if you want to have a chance of trading with me now and in the future, make fair and reasonable offers. If we can't agree, we'll still have the chance later on.

Thank you for your time. Good luck.

Oh, I forgot to mention this. I am looking for draft picks, but I would also accept young, talented Guard, Tackle, or Defensive Tackle as well. I prefer draft picks, and I will take adraft pick offer over a player offer.

I'm sorry for my post. I'm on my laptop and my space bar doesn't work very well.

I know the usual way most of you go about trades is to ask how much someone wants for the player or players.

I'm just going to tell you here, I don't have a set price. I'm taking offers. If you ask, my response will be that I'm taking offers and accepting the best offer, if it is reasonable.

So, please, save us both some time and just make an offer. I already have 6 messages in my box, only one of which contained an actual offer.

PS - Please note the players I posted are players I am not willing to trade. You'll have to make an explosive offer to get one of the players.

How is this an angry trade block? I'm just trying to simplify things. When I get 6 messages in 2 hours asking how much do I want, it is best to post here to speed things up.

This is my first ever trade block in a MP FOF game. So, until yesterday, I didn't know what happened behind the scenes. As I learn, my trade block will evolve with my experience.

Well, my first bit of advice is to not start off by saying that you're new and you won't be low balled. That right there shows you're coming from a position of weakness.

The second thing you should hear is that trading away high future picks is usually a bad idea. The number 1 thing to avoid in your first draft is trading a future 1st for a high 2nd round pick (or even low 1st round pick) in the current draft. As in, don't trade a future 1st for 1.32 in the current draft. You just gave the champion a high(er) 1st rounder in the next season.

garion is generally a self important dick, who has an opinion on everything, so you can ignore him, Ryan.

I feel the same way as you do, to be honest... but what I do now is post guys and when someone gives me a super lowball offer, I just counter with a crazy high offer. That generally stops guys like Shark from making some BS offer to a newbie. He tried that with me when I first came here, not knowing I this isn't the first time I'd played this game ;)

Hmmm... did I mention everyone I needed to in this thread? Let's see... garion's a dick and shark is a scumbag who likes to take advantage of newbies. Yeah, that's about it for now ;)

Yeah everyone knows here am not like this, but you can still trying to lowball me, I don't care.

Ryan I usually offer fair trades, Rob, Garion, Nutah and Matt can confirm this. Irishguy thinks that he has the better players in the world and we have to pay for them like gold, anyway we still reaching the play-offs without them :)

To be fair I asked him for 3 of his players but he did refuse to trade any of them despite didn't tell me their trade price which I was probably willing to pay, specially for his all-star FB :)

Welcome to the league, Ryan. Normally people's trade blocks, or most other threads, don't devolve into personality wars.

My trade blocks usually devolve so I am happy to see the love spread around.

PS My advice is to play the negotiation game. Some people just love to negotiate. If they give you a low ball offer, make a counter offer. Just as long as you know your bottom line, no need to get worked up.

PPS I usually find that it is easier to make trades when you post the guy you are trading and a ball park value for him. It doesn't have to be your bottom price but a starting point that you can lower later if needed.

PPPS If you offer a price and get 20 offers, there is nothing stopping you from negotiating back up. Some people will grumble but all is fair in love and trading.

Listen to Chuck, he trades more than most people. He will act modest but he's probably the most accomplished trader in the league right now.

I'm sorry I started all this. Maybe I should just take down the trade block or start a new one.
