Management is in discussions after losing the conference championship game for the 2nd straight season. Cap issues are still a problem. The ability to keep players is limited at this time. We are losing many players to FA due to lack of space to resign them. We are on the verge of being over the cap next season with the need to sign 20-25 players.
With all that in mind, Phoenix may be willing to trade players this offseason. The players on the list would be of high quality. Pro bowl type players.
Keep your eyes peeled for a list after the championship game.

    Let the games begin.

Right now I will say ALL 25 of my players will be available. But know that some prices will be high. And I mean "3 1st round picks" high.
But that may be a starting point. You could offer me a couple 1sts and a young, cheap replacement. Or a 1st and 2nd and a couple young, cheap replacements. Who knows.

Again, EVERYONE on my roster is on the block.

I am cleaning out my PM box for this sale. Come early and come strong.

Phoenix has shut down their block due to no interest of any players from a team that went 15-1 2 seasons ago and 13-3 last season.
I am truly amazed that I got only one offer for any of my players.
It is very disappointing that no one would make an offer on players with the talent that I have.
      Just wow.

I think you scared everyone off with the "And I mean "3 1st round picks" high."

Cmon man. Did you really expect a lot of offers when you say "some players are 3 1st round picks high"? The only players that I would kill to get are Andrews and Korinek but I wouldnt pay that much for either of those players (especially Korinek who has a 13 mil cap hit this year). Maybe its just me but there arent many players I would give 2 first rounders for. It killed me to give 2 for Wilkens last year but my offense would have been non existent without him.

Jeez, no one knows how to negotiate? Thats a high ball offer. You could come back with "I will offer a 1st and a 2nd". Then I would respond "How about a 1st a 2nd and a 3rd?" Then you would reply 'a 1st a 2015 2nd and a 2014 3rd?" And I would say "Ok." And a deal is born.
And I guess if you dont read the whole post, you dont see that I actually said it after the 3 1sts bit.

I am disappointed I cant rebuild, but will survive. I renogtiated the crap out of my team and am in fine shape for the next season. Cohesion doesnt take a hit and should improve, as most my UFAs are resigning (damn punter).

I saw it but I think most people dont want to go through a negotiation if they think an owners initial demands are too high.

                This.

It also doesn't help your cause that you told everyone up front that you have to get rid of people.

Really? So everyone likes to go this route? PM to tarcone "What are you looking for _________ ?"
Then I have to respond. You cant make offers?
I hate dealing like that. What is so hard about making an offer? The worst that happens is I say no. What if you came to me and said "I will give a 1st for Andrews" And I said "Okay"? And as I sadi earlier read the whole post. I said that MAY be a starting point.
Is this league so lazy that they wont negotiate? In the offseason?
And it hurts my cause saying I have to get rid of people? Doesnt that indicate buyers market? And lower prices?

Cmon. Lazy? No but who wants to waste their time negotiating with someone who may have unrealistic demands. I dont think there is a player in the league that I would trade 3 1st round picks for. So when I hear an owner saying that that is their high point...I dont think its realistic to think that the owner will negotiate down to 1 1st rounder or a 1st and some later picks. Honestly, There are only 5 players on your team that I would give you a first rounder for so when your starting point is 3 1sts...that becomes a non starter.

Also it has to do with presentation. We've had 5 trades this offseason and all of those trades involved owners that listed the players who were available and gave other owners an clue about what they wanted.

I have no problems with negotiation. I asked Z about a player I was intrested in, made him an offer, he countered and i couldnt do it. Easy enough. The difference was I realistically thought I could make a deal with him.

Thats cool. Its not my loss. I can win again with the talent level of this team. While everyone else misses out on the oppotunity to get better.
Your loss = my gain. In both my win column and your loss column.

You seem to be put out by the lack of offers. Problem is you did not put anyone up for trade. Would you go into a car lot and state I have $100000 (3 1st round draft picks) , what can I buy? Maybe you will win a title with the team you have, good luck.

So in my 2nd post when i said "EVERYONE on my roster is on the block" that meant what?

I'll admit i was looking to upgrade one of two areas in the offseason, WR, or CB. I'd have asked about Dinh if I didn't think I would get a better deal in trading for the WR I got.

Would have probably offered a 1st, but that would have been the highest I'd go beyond a possible 5th or 6th added on. the reason being that a player like Dinh could be found in most drafts anywhere in round 1, even through the top half of round 2 in a lot of cases.

Now if i needed a DE, I might have considered a couple 1sts and a 3rd for DE Andrews.

For the WR I ended up with, I'd have a hard time getting a guy of his quality unless I was picking top 10, so giving up a late 1st this year and a 3rd next year was an excellent deal I think.

I learned early on that selling low and letting people bid an offer up rather than starting high and hoping for offers is the better way to go. You get more interest, then you can use the interest to see who will pay the most for the players services.

Not saying you're doing it wrong, just speaking from experience. you've done a fine job with the team so far.
